2017 Warriors 1997 Bulls 1987 Lakers 1986 Celtics 2001 Lakers 1983 Sixers Those are the best teams ever. Those are tier one to me. I guess than you have the 72 Lakers, the 60 something Celtics, the 89 Pistons, and yes the 2024 Celtics. I just can’t see these Celtics stacking up against the best of the best without one of the greats on the team. Maybe Tatum will get there but I don’t know. It would be interesting to see them against the 2012 Heat or 2014 Spurs.

Boston, yall dont have a nice club there to celebrate at. I took the trophy South Beach. i understand dallas did it, and they win over the heat. That time, it kind of bad look even the lakers celebrate in LA, not fly down to different states. Florida stays winning even when their team is not celebrating in the club, and I gladly take your money

I would rate the 2017 Warriors #1. Vegas had them as hypothetical 8.5 point neutral court favorites over the 1996 Bulls, which translates to a -300 or 400 series price. The Celtics wouldn't be able to outshoot the Warriors, and they wouldn't have the frontcourt to take advantage of the Warriors playing small all the time.

No one is better than the 1996 Bulls because of Jordan. If they played by modern rules, Jordan would average 10 more points a game. Warriors losing in six. If they played the game under the rules of the 90s, the Warriors would be swept. They could not play in an age with hand checking. The Celtics would likely lose under the modern rules to the warriors. Under the rules of the 80s, the guards of the warriors would be spending a majority of the time looking at the ceiling due to the physical play of that era. Celtics in five

@@User12347ejdj Hand checking would take time to get used to, but re-watching games from the 90s today, the defense wasn't all that amazing. I'd love to see how those bull's teams would respond to the spacing of the Warriors because back then teams would clog the paint not caring for 3 pointers. The bulls would not be able to keep up with the scoring of Steph, Klay, and KD.

One game was only by 2 points and was meaningless to the #1 seed (by 14 games) Celtics. Denver went 7-5 in the playoffs, finishing 64-30 (.681). Celtics finished 80-21 (.792). That's 16% better and 16 more wins. Minus head to head Denver was 62-30 (.674) against the other teams and Celtics were 80-19 (.808) against the other teams (20% better). Denver lost to the Timberwolves (4-3) who lost to the Mavericks (4-1) who lost to the Celtics (4-1).

@@bigneiltooalso the nuggets played in the west where the playin teams had 46 wins nd the top 5 teams in the west had 50 wins or more. Meanwhile in the east only 2 teams had 50 wins or more. Playin teams were below 500 teams. All 5 teams in the west coulda went over there nd been the 2 seed. If Boston plays in the west playing better teams consistently you take that 64-18 record and most likely they go 57-25 like the nuggets nd a chance given the right matchup that they lose before getting to the finals. @@peterfalkson6730 I agree and it's really hard to compare teams of the past to teams of today. The game also evolves and things that were allowed previously aren't allowed now. 3pt rule came in during Bird's rookie year, would he have been as celebrated without it? Would the numbers have changed for previous players that didn't have the 3pt rule. Game play has also changed. C's work to stretch the defence out to find the optimum 3pt shooter and having 5 shooters on the court capable of doing the shot really stretches out the defence. Along with having 5 on the floor very capable defenders. The way I see it for Joe Mazulla was he played Moneyball but with management willing to back him financially. And then you've also got him playing a version of Ted Lasso's total football without the red string. So it's not just the players that get better, the coaches and their strategies also evolve which can be just as fascinating to watch. The C's are champs there's a massive target on their back and people are going to come up with new reasons on why they won't make it next year. Let's see. I'm excited to see the changes to other teams for next season and how they will try to shut them down, and obviously how the best duo ever along with the rest of the team and Joe overcome them.
