He was literally unplayable in the playoffs against the knicks and Nurse had no choice but to play him in case they wanted to sign an trade him. It’s not like the lakers with Westbrook where they played him with the 2nd unit being paid as much as he was. Lebron was calling the shots I’m sure. He arguably has never had a really good team. He also never was healthy in the playoffs, but even if he was healthy they aren't winning a title with those teams so it didn't really matter in the end

Always is a stretch lol he was drafted by a team trying not to win. Him developing into an mvp made the team a contender. They drafted Noel nerlens and okafor to play with him. And didn’t draft a player he could run a pick roll with mcw fultz Ben lol had 2 seasons with a good enough team to win jimmys year and hardens last year. Joel def has to better in the playoffs but he’s had a lot of weird stuff going on on around him. Even Joel balling out on most other teams he’s had weren’t good enough. Def should’ve got to an Ecf at least 2-3 times tho.

But, just like Harden's best chance to win was in 2018, I don't see Embiid ever having a BETTER opportunity to win a championship than he did in 2023.
