NEGATIVE. Although Julius Randle was frustrating to watch as the team's centerpiece, his overall game improved once they acquired Jalen Brunson and elevated some more upon OG Anunoby's arrival. He was never meant to be the main star-marquee player for any squad...he's best-suited as a complimentary player...bully ball & physicality will be needed against the best Big Men during the playoffs (i.e. Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokić, etc.)

Minnesota made a HUGE Mistake. Julius Randle is so dependent on having the ball, he will make everyone worse. Especially Rudy Gobert. @@penkima4923 I would also add that it actually makes a lot of sense. Not just because he's soft and not a leader. It makes sense when you look at their contracts. If you do that you'll realize that they had almost no cap space if they didn't trade KAT. They wouldn't have been able to resign players like McDaniels and the players they got in the Gobert trade that actually panned out. This was an excellent move for the Wolves. Ant will be empowered. The last two playoff games Ant lost something. He wasn't driving the ball like he did before. Now he'll have more time with the ball in his hands.

Over the past few seasons watching KAT’s demeanor and body language on and off the court, seeing his press conferences and seeing the way Finch talks about him (or AVOIDS talking about him as the case may sometimes be) I get the sense that maybe he was seen as more of a locker room/ culture detriment than others in the organization let on. At the end of the day it’s all about saving money but if they saw him as a vital piece in winning a championship right now, then he’d be worth the money and they wouldn’t be dealing him.

Fk this "Nova" Knicks blsht! The Knicks should not have been so trigger happy without seeing how this team, with a healthy Randle returning, would've performed this season. Prior to Randle's injury, this team was 12-2 with OG and was destroying everyone during that run. The spacing was better on offense because having OG allowed Randle to move more and make off the ball plays. This is interesting because while we always knew Towns’ contract would become a problem, the Wolves organization at least created the *impression* that they were going all-in to try to make a championship run this year, and Towns was set to be a big part of that. Either they were just waiting for the right trade partner(s), or maybe there’s more going on with KAT behind the scenes than we’re privy to.

Does this even make sense for the Knicks? They have 4 perimeter-centric players in the starting lineup already after adding Bridges and now its 5 with KAT, they have an injury prone bigman in Robinson and Kat is not an interior defensive threat nor is he a consistent prolific rebounder which is what the Knicks needed after losing Hartenstein. Possibly there was no other team that even wanted Randle or gave a decent deal for him but even a couple of consistent role players may have been a better deal to make. Plus i dont think getting rid of Divincenzo was the right move, dude had the intangibles needed in the NBA that you just wont get from KAT. Guess we'll see how it goes.

@@RealMrSmile KAT isn't a good defender... He wasn't even the reason why they were number one in defense. It was all Gobert, McDaniels, Conley and Naz Reid. KAT allowed the most points by his defender on that team and had the lowest defensive plus minus put of the starting lineup plus Naz Reid. Randle isn't a good defender as well but he's way more rugged and aggressive down low which also helps Gobert defensively too. It allows him to space out to the perimeter and attack the post on the defensive end easily.
