Should get Thomas Bryant back crash boards hard and kick out to best 3 point shooters when available. We must have that Center that can start with AD. This will cause other teams to work very hard. Lakers would have a hard team to beat in any series over time. We need a Thomas Bryant type center to add to our squad.

As someone who has been a a fan of football/soccer for over 20 years, it amazes how pampered NBA players are. Why is there even a discussion about whether the Lakers players will accept being called out when they clearly have been poor defensively and with their effort. This is par for the course in soccer.
@danonthestrings
@danonthestrings 12 күн бұрын
Its because these NBA players have way too much power and asset value for their teams so a lot of them are virtually uncoachable… The coach in the NBA for the most part doesn’t command any respect from the players.

It's incredibly difficult to imagine someone playing with plantar fasciitis. I had it flare up during a 10k and it felt like my foot was broken. After the race I couldn't even walk. I was basically limping for the next three days. Now I'm not a professional athlete and definitely didn't have access to the same resources AD does, but holy hell that's tough to play with.

I think any team that went 0-82 would geta segment so your point is invalid. Beyond that I like JJ for putting the team on notice he isn't putting up with their lack of effort. you need accountability to be better players and a better team. Effort will get you far that 50/50 ball will lead to closer rebound differential and more offensive rebounds means more possessions but they need to figure out how to communicate and keep that floor balance.

As a lebron fan I beg to differ some what. I agree that he does perhaps hold on to the ball a little too much. I agree that it makes the offense go somewhat stagnant when it needs to be fluid. However LeBron is the best passer/playmaker on the squad. With that being said he may need a min to set up the offense. When he is in that mode he is controlling the flow/tempo of the game. That’s what makes him the best most cerebral player in the game. Every one takes ill advised shots from time to time. He is older so he needs to pick and choose when to chase down block or to exert himself on defense. Anyone that’s played the game recognizes that it takes more energy to defend than it does to score. LeBron has been trying to acquiesce to Davis as he’s been conceding the team to him. He differs to him during interviews and points/shots. His scoring numbers have decreased this season he’s like at 19 or 21 ppg coming down from 25 last season. Give the man credit.

Feels like a lot of the lakers problems come from “effort” according to the media. Effort only leads to winning when you have the actual talent to win. The lakers role players are asked to do more than they can. It’s not the coach, it’s not “effort”, it’s the players.

@ I’m saying they signed players that are already known for their lack of effort. D lo is a perfect example of that. He’s always had a history of lackluster effort defensively yet they want him to give his all defensively. He’s never consistently shown that so why would he magically change that this deep into his career. It’s like expecting Westbrick to have good shot selection out of nowhere. You get what you payed for. They been telling d lo to up the effort forever now and he barely does.
@nateolison7553

"Effort only leads to winning when you have the actual talent to win. Lakers role players are being asked to so more than they can." You don't have to be talented to try hard. It's not like they signed guys who are incapable of trying hard. Offense is mostly skill. Defense is mostly will. I agree that it's the players... specifically their lack of effort.

With LJ as the first option and plays Charmin defense, yelling at you for not giving him the ball, yelling at you for not defending his man for him while he coast on the floor, and the favoritism on BJ, the team loses interest and you can't get into a rhythm. Players will not share their true feelings but you can see it played out. Lakers will get better without the James in the roster. Remember, they played fast, exciting basketball on both ends without him. Fact- Many other teams are doing fine without having LJ on their roster.

I'd hate coaching this Lakers team because I am competitive and want to win. Some of these dudes show up, and play like their mind is on some car their thinking about buying. If we win, they did their job. If we lose, who cares, their rich anyhow. Where are the guys who want to win period? It must stink to be LeBron and AD, along with JJ. Me personally, I'd trade everyone but those two. A new team can't be any worse! We started 3-0 and now we're again in the last play in spot!

Lebron scoring high in a loss is meaningless! If Lebron is such a savant and pass first guy, then he’s got to do more to get his team involved instead of simply worrying about his stats!

Wondering how much longer they play dlo. Hes been awful. I missed the couple games but it doesnt seem like he can consistently make a jump shot to save his life. He already doesnt offer much if anything on defense. His offense needs to be a + as does his ability to distribute when they ask him to.

Danny Green loved it, but coaches should save their frustration/anger for the locker room. Don't show it publicly in the media. That never made any situation better.

Grown adults who make millions to play a game need to be able to take criticism. He didn’t call out anything personally about the guys, strictly about basketball. Nothing wrong with that. Just like in real life relationships as long as u are willing to say the same thing to the players faces when you’re in the locker room then it’s fair criticism.

If you're 40 and 22 seasons in the league with most points, you've EARNED the right to take moments off defence and even offence. LBJ isn't the problem!
