Proper perspsective. KAT and Randle get paid millions to play a game they would probably play for free. They both get to play for playoff contenders. Nothing to complain about. Both teams got what they wanted. The Knicks got KAT and the Wolves got 155 million in salary cap relief.

I don`t really get the "feeling welcome"-part. This is the NBA. Who are welcome as long as you fit the need. Kat was a perfect fit with the Wolves, but getting to expensive. So they shipped him. Knicks will watch him playing and figure out the next months, if he fits. If not, he will be gone again. Same with Julius in Minnesota. These guys know that. So why say otherwise? Pleasing the media? Yes, sort of. It's all about presenting a narrative and character that preserves your worth going forward. If KAT comes out and says "I guess I wasn't good enough for the Wolves to think I was worth the dough" or Randle comes out and says "I was never even offered an extension" that would put the trade in a "bad asset for bad asset" light and both men lose value in their brand and perceived position in the league. Both teams were making the best of a bad situation. The Knicks flipped a player nobody wanted for a contract nobody wanted and of course the Wolves did vice versa.
