Maybe not for a pure athletic position that requires speed like running back, but even your worst backup or has-been QB could probably run circles around college QBs in real game situations: handling blitzes, 2-minute drills, hitting WRs on slants and downfield. Your assuming people will stop watching football to watch soccer and that's just not true. Some may switch but most will watch both if they watch soccer at all. With that being said, seeing walk-ons is a reminder of how difficult it is to get on a college roster - let alone with a reputable team. To see Eli in retirement go in there and look like a pro among the college players shows the level he plays at. I gained a whole lot more respect for Eli after this. Last, his humor and personality shined through in spades. Now I see how he was a leader capable of Super Bowl rings. I never necessarily doubted him, but now it's clear. The coaches who thought he was a walk-on had to have been disappointed to see it was fake. They thought they had a walk-on starter! Haha...

Eli Manning: top 10 in passing TDs and passing yards. Most TD passes in the 4th quarter. 2 time Super Bowl MVP, beat the Patriots twice, once when they were 18-0. A no doubt Hall of Famer.

@@bawbremy Everyone that has ever played football beat Brady's time, in fact they timed Brady with an hourglass.

Not first ballot, but he will get in eventually. 2 SB MVPs should do it

Eli has so much charisma. Watching him here and watching him on the Monday Night broadcasts, you can just tell how much character he has. I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan, but even I love Eli.
