Not even gonna lie the era of KZbin killed the magnitude of watching an hour long show of highlights to the point where once I cut the cord, I probably haven't seen Sportscenter in a decade. That said, John Anderson and Steve Levy were such a large part of my childhood and he has my utmost respect entering the relaxing chapter of retirement

Sad to see him go but happy for all the memories. I was 7 when I started watching SportsCenter and John Andersen is absolutely one of the reasons I have tuned in daily ever since. The humor he brought along with many of the anchors of the time was ahead of its time. Thank you, John.

I was able to meet Mr. Anderson at a minor league game in Appleton, WI. He was beyond kind when he didn’t need to be. One of the greatest to be at the SC desk. Congrats, sir!
