This is the most impressive run by Mahomes due to the quality of the opponents and the away games, but at the same time it also his defenses most impressive run BY FAR. Which is not a dig on Mahomes, its a testament to that entire team overcoming their regular season shortcomings.

Even more impressive is he's elevating the play of his wide receivers and back. He doesn't have Hill, he doesn't have McKennon, yet the "Others" as Shaq likes to say are ballin out for their QB. I'm telling you man, determination and grind can become contagious when the right leader makes it infectious. And Patrick is that. I wish we had a franchise QB even close to Mahomes.

@wiltchamberlainisthegoat137 ай бұрын
@@McStrokeAvision I’m a Chiefs fan, but tbh, Brady has had some of the best Super Bowl performances by a QB ever. Let’s take Super Bowl 51 versus Atlanta. The Patriots trailed 28-3 with about 4 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter and Brady rallies the Pats to a 28-28 tie before winning in OT. It was the greatest comeback in SB history. The very next year, in SB 52, the Pats lost 41-33 to Philly, but Brady turned in one of the greatest QB performances in a SB throwing for a SB record 505 yards. His defense let him down. And in the 2007 Super Bowl versus the Giants, if Brady’s defense could have finished off the final 40 seconds of a perfect season, the Patriots would have finished a perfect 19-0. It took a Houdini escape from a sack by Eli Manning and a miraculous Helmet Catch to prevent Brady from a perfect season. Twice if not for his defense’s collapse plus a miracle catch, Brady would be 9-1 in Super Bowls.

Browns fan here. I’m hella surprised that Lamar didn’t run the ball like he usually does. Credit to the Chiefs defense for forcing him to be a passer. They took full advantage of that and got the results they were looking for. I have to blame the OC for not switching up the gameplan in the second half. The game was still in reach if they were to establish the run more. Zay’s fumble in the end zone was shades of Byner’s fumble in the end zone for the Browns many years ago. Also, the head games KC played against Baltimore definitely worked. The taunting penalty from Zay realistically killed that drive as I feel they were gonna get a TD on that drive. Also, that INT in the end zone was the dagger for them. Not to mention the no pass interference calls and the holding that KC got away with from time to time. Overall, Baltimore screwed themselves with all those penalties and self-imploding on the field at THE worst time. KC’s gonna be hated like those Brady Patriots teams are. Go Browns!!

@@addster124 he ran the clock down without making any mistakes, put the nail in the coffee and sealed the deal winning the game. No turnovers no mistakes. He didn’t call the plays. He’s freakin good and getting better each year. And they did have long drives. Go look at the time of possession each team had.

True dat! I have been watching QBs since 1963. Mahomes is the best I have EVER seen. Period!

Let me start with RC cleaner than a bill of health. 🔥🔥 Mahomes is built different and he accepts who he is and so does his team, they are not trying to turn him into something he is not. Take note Baltimore lean into Lamar's greatness because he is built different too. Just let him be him.

Issue is, chiefs had a young defense.. it’s getting better chiefs have a young offense it will get better.. we depended on players a lot didn’t live up to expectations.., we probably draft some next season, maybe bring in cheap veterans maybe a running back or two.. this team will be top 10 both sides of ball

How about Spagnolo and the Chiefs Defense had a plan for Lamar. 1. Pass rush discipline. DL stayed in their lanes and had a spy assigned in case he escaped. 2. The DBs had the receivers covered. It took perfect throws to complete passes. 3. The Kansas City Defense and not the Baltimore Defense is historically great. 4. The Baltimore Ravens were not the better team. Yesterday proved who the better team.

That's a fair point If you rush for 150 yards a game, every week, and now you don't even try to run the rock, that is a problem with the OC. The Ravens have a run-first offense, and they got away from what took them to the dance. Give the Spags credit, and Munchin grief. The Ravens got out-coached.

The technically had 1 drop yesterday. Richie James dropped a pass that hit him in the hands however it was probably ruled as a QB error because it was thrown a little behind him.

While it does get discussed it is impossible to overstate performing during big playoff moments vs. failing to do so is what separates all time greats from the merely really good. This is his 4th trip to the big show which puts him in the company of Montana, Staubach, Peyton, and Bradshaw. If they win only Bradshaw, Montana, and Brady will have won more. IF he stays healthy (not a given in this sport) AND the team stays good (also NOT an easy thing to do) then the next few years conceivably could leave Brady as the only meaningful comparison.
@danielburt78496 ай бұрын
That was VERY well said. Needs to be heard. Lamar is not Mahomes YET at least. No one is YET. That is obvious.
