I saw Matt Ryan's NFL debut in Atlanta. Everybody talks about some long TD pass to a wide open receiver that my dead grandmother could have completed His best play was on a roll out when he came face to face with a linebacker, juked him to make him think he was going to try to run, thereby buying some time to complete a pass about 10 or 15 yards downfield. Ultimately it’s all about what feels right.. the only critical part is the air pocket between the palm and the ball.. teaching youths this is single handed the one thing that I’ve seen elevate a kid that can throw into a kid who is a legit QB.. I also spend a lot of time trying to get kids to forget about laces all together as it becomes a huge distraction. If you want to throw a good ball get the air pocket and start throwing wo using the laces.. especially if you don’t have large hands as the laces increase the diameter of the ball a lot more then one would think..
