My dad came home today caught me by surprise when I was marching in the Veterans Day parade today in Marietta Georgia every one starts cheering for me and my dad because am in JROTC and I was marching and then the InterCon comes on saying my dads name and my name I started crying omg when I saw him today at the parade when I was marching so yeah he’s home with me and my family right now. Enjoying our night watching a movie right now

My dad passed away on May 1, 2020, he was a Vietnam Veteran. He passed away alone in a nursing home during covid - 19, 12 day's before my 46 birthday. I couldn't be with him because of covid - 19 he was 64 years old. Today is May 18, 2020 I lost him 18 days ago. Today is my sisters 49 Birthday.

@@thomasstevenrothmbamd2384 My dad was really sick and he was dying from his liver and congenital heart failure, laying in a hospital bed for a year pneumonia set in and that's what he died from. 4 day's before he passed they did a covid - 19 test on him and he was negative, BUT the medical examiner wrote he died from pneumonia do to covid - 19. That's the part that bothers me he tested negative 4 day's before. So why is the medical examiner lying on his death certificate.

Therefore, your Dad's first test may have not showed what was actually present. The medical examiner at autopsy may have taken a second test which then came up positive. The negative COVID-19 test four days before his passing could have been a false negative or taken just before being infected or just after he had been infected but not producing enough virus to give a positive followed by a very rapid spreading of the virus throughout his body which quickly overcame his already compromised and weakened state. If it will give you and/or your family members some peace of mind, I recommend contacting the medical examiner and very specifically asking how he or she determined that his death was caused by COVID-19. In any event, again, please accept my deepest condolences concerning the passing of your Vietnam Veteran father.
