Super great! This is SO MUCH DIFFERENT than when I came home from Viet Nam in 1972. No one greeted me. My parents got divorced while I was in the war. I wasn't married. No kids. The public had no compassion for Viet Nam war veterans. They threw bottles , they spit on us. We were not welcome home or anywhere else. I stopped in Hawaii and took two weeks leave just to slowly reacquaint myself to the 'good old USA'. Then reported to my new assignment and resumed work as a pilot in the USAF.

This nation has a way of shitting on her veterans and though for now, it seems they've learned not to blame the soldier as they did with Vietnam Veterans, this nation still has not lived up to her promise. Take care of those who took care of you (America). Homeless, suicidal veterans are at an all-time high. No one seems to really care within the Government. They'll spend trillions overseas but they quibble over the V.A's budget.

Then I will finish those last two years to get my bachelor's. All for free. Many soldiers have died trying to find meaning and glory, or because they wanted to stop bad people from getting into our country or killing innocents. Tbh most just wanted an adventure, and they got it. We had dual objectives in Afganistan, strengthen the countries so they can defend themselves and eliminate terrorists from the earth while also remembering us as valuable allies and keep us as a business partner by trading resources compared to our adversaries. Win/win/win What I'm trying to say is I'm going to keep doing good things for the country and my family, those soldiers will be remembered with honor as heroes and you'll still be some random nobody clacking away in a KZbin comment saying mean shit.

A lot of people really don’t realize what soldiers have done for them , and it’s heartbreaking when people don’t appreciate it , because these brave women and men go and risk their lives for ours . Soldiers are the definition of hero’s and blessings ❤️! Every time you see a soldier out , just go and thank them for their service , because they have done more than we could imagine.
