It’s Caitlin Clark and the entire draft class of the WNBA this year that brought about this change. One thing I noticed that the coach of the Lynx said in the interview is that revenue is up a lot already this year, and that’s because there’s so much attention on that draft class. You saw what happened with the Sky game when it wasn’t televised on the app. Something similar happened last night with the Seattle Storm game because people wanted to see Nika Muhl play. I was watching a bootleg stream of the game on twitter from a fan in the stadium. Most of this is because of stars from this draft class. I’m going to be watching the Aces because Kate Martin made the team, and the Wings because of Jacy Sheldon. And of course Chicago because of Reese and Cardoso.

Attention in Clark might hold, but there are 11 other teams. Those teams need to draw when Clark ISN'T in town. Also, can't expect HUGE revenue numbers for TV, like the NBA gets. As a black man I agree. I wish they would stop making it about race and just focus on basketball. Nobody has a game like Clark in the wnba which is why shes bring the interest and views. It helps her being white as well but there isnt a black counterpart in the wbna so idk why ppl( mostly black women who themselves didn't start watching girls basketball until Clark, LSU, South Carolina, Uconn etc) are so upset. League loses money every year “should’ve never been dealing with this”. That’s exactly what they needed to deal with at the time. The wnba sees that multiple teams have had to book larger arenas because of Caitlin Clark coming to town and now they see they have a light at the end of the tunnel. That’s why they’re making this investment now-so they don’t lose the future of the league. Smart decision

Actually, if we are being honest, Caitlin Clark's effect is bigger. The NBA was already an established league. The WNBA has been on welfare for its entire, 28-year existence. Caitlin can prove instrumental in changing that forever. I gotta give her more credit because she has the taller task. Her league sucks and it is filled with mostly dikes and dislikes who are all working against her. It's like trying to hug someone while they're punching you in your face.
