Its because it wasn't generated from them, but from one person. Its Jealousy, pure and simple. And the thing is, there is nothing wrong with being jealous. If you really think about it, Jealousy is the catalyst to ambition. How that Jealousy manifests and is managed though is what matters and differentiates it as good or bad. This is just an example of bad jealousy. None of those complaining are working harder to become better so the spotlight falls on them. They don't have the mindset of the Mamba - RIP.

@@SodoDolo facts…. same group of gender that want equality Caitlyn as an equal, but that jealousy only proves that no matter the skill set, at the end of the day they want want easy handouts. Funny thing about this whole situation is that the senior players can’t deal with the fact, younger players are more recognized over them.
@SodoDolo4 ай бұрын
@@MgambireBabako I agree. Especially that last part. And I can understand the why. The WNBA was growing (slowly), but with the arrival of the high profile rookies like Clark it has resulted in Exponential growth for the WNBA - something none of the “old heads” so to speak, were able to accomplish. But that happens throughout history that someone redefines the game and helps it grow. I mean after all, Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, Lebron James, and many others when they came in to the league redefined the game and I don’t recall many, if any, NBA players trying to take that away from them.

It's boring to our society. When they can push negative stories that get people more emotionally invested, their ratings go up. Look at our political landscape. The negative/controversial sells. My biggest thing regarding W players that know they’re better and might resent CC’s attention…they gotta remember that Caitlin didn’t ask for any of this. All she did was play basketball and this all happened because of who she is and how she plays. She didn’t ask for any of this and she also only talks about giving grace, and lifting up women’s basketball, and being happy that little kids are inspired. Can’t be too mad at that

I have no shame admitting I got into tennis and golf because of Serena and Venus Williams and Tiger Woods. It was awesome seeing black people excel at something I had never seen before. That’s crazy considering that white basketball fans didn’t need a white dude getting drafted to watch the predominantly black NBA. 🤔 Furthermore this exact statement proves the point of so many ppl who have been saying that her race is why she’s getting so much attention because her talent, compared to veteran players in the league, needs to develop. Now that she’s struggling in the league, as predicted by truth tellers who were called haters, everyone wants to coddle her and claim everything is unfair. I do feel bad for her, but it’s because she was never going to meet the expectations set on her by casuals who only saw her highlights and have never watched a WNBA game. She earned being picked first, she was the best baller coming out of college but 2 things can be true. Thinking she would be the best in the league when at this stage she’s not even the best player on her team, absurd. And she still hasn’t faced as much negativity as Angel Reese since 2023.
