Ben was such a humble superstar, warming all of our hearts each and every day. Kirk, thanks for sharing him with us - we were all blessed to know such a special furry friend. We lost our dog last month to cancer at age 10, too, so we share in your grief and will be sending prayers. A friend gave us a plaque that hangs in our kitchen that says “Heaven’s the place where all the dogs you’ve ever loved come to greet you,” and I know Ben will be there for you, your family, and the College Game Day family who all loved him.

Agree 100%. I thought about the pain and loosing our two dogs and not getting another. The wife found a five year old rescue and he has won our hearts over and over. Rescues rule and have sooooo much love to give. As I write this he is snoring next to me.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. Just had to put my six year old Golden Retriever Murphy down. He was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and it was sudden. They give so much love. Hearing this and watching this breaks my ❤️ heart. Dogs are more loyal than we humans and in a way more loving. All they want to do is wag their tails and be next to you even when you are upset or want to be alone, they want to confort you and are so innocent. It is not right that they live such short lives, we humans can certainly learn from them what unconditional love is. My baby will be 4 years on November-13 and he is part f our family and the best thing that happened to us. My heart goes out to you Kirk and your family. Heaven just got another one way too early. God please keep Ben safe until he can see his family again.
