It wasn’t MEANT to COUNT for anything. IE: The National Champion was CROWNED WEEKS BEFORE THE ROSE BOWL WAS PLAYED. As the years went on, The Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl and Sugar Bowl and Peach Bowl joined The Rose Bowl, but STILL: They were Viewed as Exhibition Games, and The National Champion was CROWNED WEEKS BEFORE THE BOWL GAMES WERE PLAYED, all the way into the mid-1960’s, when The AP switched to Vote After The Bowl Games. Then, the 1970’s, The Coach’s Poll also Switched to AFTER THE BOWL GAME to Crown Their Champion. Then, the 1970’s, The Coach’s Poll also Switched to AFTER THE BOWL GAME to Crown Their Champion. With The Advent of The CFP, the Bowl Games (other than the CFP) are going back to Ceremonial Celebration-Exhibition Status. THAT’S GREAT! Therefore, this QB should not RISK INJURY for a meaningless Exhibition Game.

Cam Ward quit on his team. Point blank. It doesn't matter that it was a "business decision". He quit. Why even play in the bowl game if you're planning on quitting? My theory is that he already got outplayed by Kyle McCord a few weeks ago and saw that Rocco Becht was outplaying him, so he wanted to save face before NFL scouts began to question how good he really is. Would Kenny Dorsey ever have quit on the Canes?

I knew Iowa St would win this game. They're a very well-coached team with a lot of heart. They didn't show up against Arizona State, but I have a feeling the Big XII had a lot to do with that because they wanted to send their best team to the CFP.
