Coach Venables inherited a really bad roster situation when he got to Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley ran away from the mess he created. The defensive roster was awful. What they've done to turn that around in a couple years is remarkable. Remember that guy that said you cant recruit an elite roster to Norman Oklahoma? Hows he been doing?

It’s all about money. OU Texas at the Cotton Bowl OU was bringing in one million to play at the CB. Supposedly because we didn’t have enough seats in our stadium. Well we have for several years so we could have played home and away. But the University got paid a lot of money to play in the Cotton Bowl, which is in Texas. A constant away game. Fools for OU money. We played away every year in Teas for the money for the university. What about fairness? Been nice to play Texas at home

Anybody advocating for OU and Texas to play anywhere else, who considers themselves a fan of either program, need to be thrown out of the fandom. The Cotton Bowl is almost exactly halfway between the two universities, and the stadium is split in half with fans from each team. It's NOT an away game, nor a home game, for either team. Too much history, blood, and sweat have occurred on that field over nearly the past 100 years, for some casual to bicker about wanting to move it somewhere else on little unsubstantiated reasons.

Oklahoma was.t ever tested in the big 12, which is why the holes in their game weren't exposed until the post season. Joining the sec and being tested for real will only help Oklahoma to be better, and the boost in recruiting ain't bad either. Win or lose Watchung ou vs Tennessee, auburn, lsu, Bama, a&m every week is gonna be really exciting football, and that's what we want

The allure of Oklahoma wore off years ago. It turned out the Bob Stoops turnaround in the 2000s was one gigantic fraud. Yes, OU's defense was impressive in its last championship, but the Sooners avoided playing the hottest team in CFB (Miami) due to computers. Also, Stoops lost so many times when he had a top 5 team or the supposedly best team ever (Kansas State, LSU, USC, Boise State, Florida with Tebow, Alabama in the CFP, Georgia). Then you have to throw in the athletes who have embarrassed the University of Oklahoma like Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, and you could even say Adrian Peterson with the switch incident, and you'll see that this is a program in shambles. Oklahoma is going to get murked in the SEC.
