That is good to hear! We had a good experience with Tennessee fans as well, for the most part, when they came to norman last week! That was a fun atmosphere! I'm hoping we see Tennessee again (hopefully when we are more healthy, not that that was the main reason we lost but would love both teams be at full strength if they play again). I personally think that with Hawkins at QB 1 we had a better chance at beating Tennessee. So if we play them again, and Hawkins starts and finishes the game, I think the score would be much different! All in all I had fun despite the loss and look forward to what the rest of the season holds. I am keeping realistic expectations for the remainder of the season for OU as there clearly are still big glaring issues that need to be solved. That being said, now that Auburn is behind us, I encourage Auburn, GO KICK SOME BULLDOG BOOTY! Alabama proved that it is possible. now it is your turn!

@@VerticalMARS1 I'm an avid OU fan, but I've got to agree with you. Kip Lewis (our linebacker who pick off the pass) said after the game that he faked a blitz and then quickly back peddled into coverage when the ball was snapped. I think when he did this your QB didn't visually pick him up and threw it right at him. But, yes, that was pretty much a "gift" because I was expecting Auburn to run the ball in that situation. Even if Auburn had to punt, that would have force OU to drive the length of the field and earn a TD. It really surprised me.
@VerticalMARS12 ай бұрын
@@miltonsmith974 The other two Auburn losses this season we turned the ball over five times in each game. I don’t care who you play. You are not going to beat anyone turning the ball over five times in one game. At least we were efficient this game and only turned the ball over one time to lose the game. Auburn just finds new ways to lose. Auburn beat Texas A&M about three or four years ago winning this way. Auburn got whipped up and down the field. But won the game anyway because Texas A&M had dumb play calling and turned the ball over.

Whats going on with Stutsman? He's played a very poor game, missing tackles and unable to shed blocks. WTH

All players, including talented players have games like that. That is just part of the game.

That Oklahoma defense is for real. Hawkins has unlimited potential.

I'm not saying he's gonna be the next Caleb Williams, but he led a awesome come from behind victory when it looked like we were putting a mark in the L column (Caleb Williams vs. Texas). Both were freshman, both coming in to replace a highly touted starter (Spencer Rattler). Both are speedy, athletic QB's that can be at you with their feet and their arms. I'm excited to see where Hawkins goes from here!

This OU team has GRIT. It ain't pretty, but man did they fight! Also, if Hawkins started against Tennessee that game would have been in the bag. I think we are gonna smack Texas in the mouth... I love that we are not getting the hype this year.

That was all heart! Could have folded but continued to fight till the end. Tell me another team with their top 4 to 5 WRs out, a banged up oline and a true freshman in his first start at QB that could have pulled this off? Boomer Sooner!!!

I’m a TCU fan but I’m goin for Oklahoma in the SEC Hawkins played exceptionally well for his first start as a QB1 and I also think he had a much higher potential then Jackson Arnold
