As someone who hates Arsenal, I can't deny that Arteta has done a really good job there. He brought them back to title contention, back to the Champions League after an 8 year absence. Criticizing him for not winning the league is hard, City have been a juggernaut during his time in London. Even the great Klopp only won a single league title during that same time period.
@patchh159 күн бұрын
Klopp only also won the Champions League including two other CL finals while making 97 & 95 points while Arteta hasn’t even made 90 but crack on
@virupakshawalla57349 күн бұрын
Indeed look at the ridiculous run City went on to win both titles esp last year. But criticism also justified
@anonymoustv57709 күн бұрын
@@patchh15 My point was Guardiola has stopped both Arteta and Klopp from having more success. Klopp is a better manager than Arteta, this is not in dispute. What City did these past few years has to be put into context when discussing Arteta. Can't believe I am here defending Arteta lol, I dont like this guy

Thankful for everything Arteta has given to Arsenal in his career as a Manager. He bleeds Arsenal and his unwavering nature is exactly what I expect from my manager. The pundit's narratives will completely flip when we win big.

He's actually in his 6th PL season in charge Finished, 8th, 8th blew 10 point lead & finished 4th, then once again blew a 10 point lead & finished 2nd, & 2nd again Has had 100% backing..spent big £800M+ So how this is classified as PL success is beyond me..this is typical as Arsenal & Arteta get an easy ride from the media with very little scrutiny.. Most managers of top 5 PL teams would have been sacked after 8th,8th & 5th year PL finishes with poor 2 Years CL performances even with 1 cup domestic win in year 1.

@teeone1066 ole got sacked after coming 2nd. Mourinho after coming second. There is a point where without trophies you will be sacked. It's about everything trophies and actually not just top 4 challenging for the league. Man united got 2nd twice in the last 10years. We only missed champions league every other season. We have alternated between ucl and Europa throughout the 10years after Fergie except for the first year. Arteta has been at arsenal 5seasons and only qualified ucl twice? Isn't that an embarrassment? Bottled a whole 15point lead going to January.
@teeone10669 күн бұрын
@ they didn’t get sacked after finished second. They were backed with more signings and left mid season whilst the team was failing. Jose was 19 points behind the leaders when he left. Not comparable
