Agree. And Pep makes it worse with his system and players. We all know our MF exposes our defense and yet Pep still refuses to adapt the defensive shape. Should drop the backline a bit and play a flat back 4. Yet he refuses and is literally testing insanity - doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome. I’m sure everyone in the team can see it too, yet Pep refuses. It’s like he’s setting them all up for failure and he’s unlearned everything from the Treble season when he adapted his system and tactics to the opposition. Disgrace

I'm sure 26% possession was the norm for man city before 2010. They are back to their historical form❤

Idk who advised him on that, but it’s foolish if there is no clause in that contract to force a move.

@nicholasbaldwin4897 It’s not about being a therapist. It’s about having empathy. Pep and his wife just split after 30 years. That’s undoubtedly having a massive impact on him behind the scenes.

The most damning stat from that match is that city had only 37 percent possession. Burley is absolutely right. Their dominance in the past was based on possession football. They can kick the likes of Ipswich around in the so called best league in the world ( a league that Luton Town were in last season) but tonight we saw where they really are.

I’m starting to think this is a whole ploy to get the manager fired. And both the players and the manager himself are in on it.
