When Gab said "Im not sure why he got the red card, was it a foul or kicking it away." IN the game on the scoreboard it showed why the red card was given and it was said intently by the moderators for the next five minutes. That tell me that Gab did not watch the match so he can shut up and go buy a spaghetti dinner

I disagree saying that martinelli wasn't moving....after the ball is kicked he is in motion running to ederson (with Saliba) and as ederson back-peddles, Martinelli turns back to back with him and boxes him out like a good NBA player does. If that is legal, so be it. More teams will need to do this until they change the rule to something like if the player is trying to get to the ball it cannot be interference. But his job was to run over behind ederson to prevent him from being able to cover the back post. But he WAS moving.

You guys were making me laugh. Arsenal has two in the goal set piece attacks. Serve to the near post for a flick-on or serve to the far post for a header. So I imagine that Haaland was on the near post to prevent the Saliba flick-on so they needed someone to guard Gabriel for the far post header. Of course when Arsenal see how the goal is being defended they adjust the play.

Guys...this match clearly showed Arsenal is still quite far from City and probably Liverpool too. Arteta just deployed the defensive strategy comparable to the lower teams by just defending after going a man down. Arsenal is suppose to be a top top team but the way they played yesterday, doesnt suggest they are. You may claimed Arsenal is a man down and playing City, they had no choice but to play that way. This is not what fans expected of Arsenal. If Liverpool is a man down and even playing City, Liverpool would not resort to play that defensively with 10 defenders. Look at the match against Spurs last season...they were a man down and yet played a very attacking game and won. Likewise against Newcastle too where they were also a man down but played attackingly and won. City also would play an attacking game even against Liverpool should they have a man send off. In other words, Arteta should not have any excuse to play that way. That is why I dont see Arsenal can win the title. For this season, City would win it easily especially Klopp is no more the Liverpool manager.

Worse still they were stalling to waste as much time as possible. Liverpool and City would not adopt such tactics. Liverpool prove it against Spurs and Newcastle last season. Arteta needs to be a bit braver if he wants to emulate Klopp and Pep.

Why is everyone criticizing the ref when Trossard got himself booked and then 15 minutes later gave away a needless foul and kicked the ball across the pitch to nobody. He gave the ref a decision to make, just like Rice against Brighton. The players need to be smarter, don’t give the ref an opportunity to send you off. If Trossard has not fouled Silva then kicked the ball away, Arsenal probably would have won.
