It really saddens me to think that Essek only developed connections with the Nein and Liam hammered home the point that it wouldn't be too long until Essek was pretty much alone all over again. Just Caudeceus after awhile. I do like to think that Caleb would introduce Essek to Yusa so he wouldn't be alone after he was gone but damn does Liam drive home some somber endings to his characters

Well Veth already has a son and it was mentioned that Yasha and Beau might adopt so he could still have M9s children and grandchildren to talk too. He could tell their story to anyone who wants to listen which would be really cool.

I just love that you showed that it was Essek's shadow spell that created his past selves. It's like he's purposefully trying to distance himself from who he used to be and torturing himself over what could've been done or said to prevent the path he's on now. It shows just an intense amount of self-loathing and regret. And I think that even before the Nein came along, Essek did feel guilty about what he did. Even if you believe that the ends justify the means, you can still feel bad about what "had" to happen. And all of the Nein were there at the end. My favorite part of Essek's story is that Caleb didn't save him, the Nein inspired him to save himself.

This is great! I've seen a lot of My R animatics with the various girls being past versions of whatever character, and even more animatics with the girls being various characters, but this is the first I've seen that combines the two. It works really well!

when i saw you post about this animatic on your story i was excited to watch it because it was an interesting look at essek and i just generally liked your art and,, this animatic is awsome i loved the clips of things during the guitar solo and the switch from essek and verin to the m9 during the part before it and the end I'm so used to my r animatics ending in a cut to black but they were all there for him,,,,,, and on the yellow cardigan lyric with caleb was a lovely choice,, i wasn't expecting it because i somehow managed to forget the song but oh its so good this animatic is beautiful !!
