HI Damian .... this is now lesson number 6 that I have learned from you .... thank you, not just for the lessons, but I am now on ''lock down'' hear in Yorkshire UK (because my age 80+ makes me a vulnerable person to the coronavirus) .... you are not only helping my guitar playing, but also my sanity (though some people have doubted that for years). Keep safe and keep on rocking - till your'e my age and beyond. Best wishes.

How can there be 44 negatives ratings on this lesson??? This is another gold nugget from Damian. Its simple, clearly explained and is FUN FUN FUN! Also has a jam track at the end. ........and its free???? Just finished learning it and adding it to my lick library and will pull it out and use it as often as I can. I also bought Damians Rockabilly course a couple weeks ago and Im having so much fun on just the first lesson that I havent moved on to the next lesson yet LOL Playing it in different keys on different songs and am blown away how good it sounds. Best $30 I have ever spent on any on line guitar lesson. After I'm finished learning the remaining 19 lessons, Im going to check out his other courses.

Nice one mate. I think Setzer is very underrated . When he plays it’s just so fluid and natural. I also think he’s a good singer as well. I loved rock this town and stray cat strut. Brilliant 👍

Hi George. I,m a big Brian Setzer fan. I play acoustic guitar but I lack musical theory (getting into it). Could you please tell me the names of the chords he is playing? I don't like to put my fingers randomly without knowing what the heck I'm doing. I know it can be a difficult question. It would help me a lot if you could tell me. Anyway, thanks a lot for your time. Best wishes

Again, outstanding! Funny but true story: When I discovered the '13th' chord positioning my greatest local guitar hero/influence said "how do you get 13, there's not that many notes in the scale...". You're an excellent instructor to say the least!

Hey there Fernando .. Apologies for the late reply. I'm really sorry but I wouldn't be confident to supply the chord names. I play instinctively a lot of the time. Its a good idea to know what you're playing and it's great that you think like that. Maybe someone else knows and could be kind enough to inform us? Take care and sorry again that I couldn't be of help.
@ferpirata765 жыл бұрын
@@nattyboyo2404 thanks a lot. No problem. I usually do like you do. Now i,m trying to understand what i,m doing and its not easy, specially with Brian Setzer's jazzy chords. The better they sound the most difficult they are to play. Thanks a lot anyway. I wrote to more people but you were the only kind enough to reply. Best wishes!

How are actual names of these chords ?
@XiaNingTian10 жыл бұрын
E6/9, Edim (root on the high string), E13, E6-D6, Amaj triad, A7, Edim, I think a Gdim inversion, Emaj, B13. Most of these chords are accurate. Some of them, I don't understand yet how they fit in, but those are the chords he's playing that lead stuff with.

I love this video, only I wish you included the theory behind these sequences. For instance, the types of chords and why a certain voicing is being used. I think that's a diminished triad inversion being played over the 3rd bar for instance. Very hip sound.

Hi Damien I would like to get your ultimate Rockabilly Guitat DVD, can rockabilly be played on an Epiphone Dot Archtop guitar? In addition to learning rockabilly, I am trying to learn Blues, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, classic rick. One other fun guitar I looked at is t g d Epiphone Emperor Swingster. Besides the Gretsch can you recommend another guitar that is similar to the Orange Gretsch you are using? Thanks...
