Thank you so much. Since US is a huge country with very diverse weather patterns it is going to depend a lot of where the university is. So it is kind of hard to say you need a specific list of winter gear. Your best bet would be to reach out to the university to get more details on how severe the winter is and what to bring.

Hai chechi I recently started watching your videos.Most of the videos are very informative and interesting. I request you to kindly provide a detailed video on hospital system in US.How to approach, whether we get acess to emergency services insurance cover etc.Currently I am staying in Kerala but planning to Come over there in few months and looking for a long stay.I am worried about the hospital system over there and my parents are reluctant and don’t want come there.Many of their friends told Hospital system is very poor means it is not easily approachable.Here in our state whatever the case we can directly meet the doctors and can take emergency appointments.Many clinics are available and I can take my kids in case of any priority cases.Looking forward on a detailed video.Thank you😊

Thank you Anupama. US perhaps has maybe the best hospitals in the world. But I hear you, without insurance no one can afford the treatments here. Most of the employers are legally required to provide insurance to their employees. So if you are coming on work Visa your insurance will be taken care by your employer but of course you may need to pay a percentage, depends on employer’s insurance policies. i wouldn’t make a decision not to come to the US based on the hospital concerns.

Awesome tips. Thanks a ton. Is there anything else that you felt was useful..like how minimally to pack for hostel if your child returns for hols home every term . Also how do they manage food while at hostel? How to encourage them to choose healthy options or do you give them vitamin supplements as a backup?
@WhatsUrHomeStoryMalayalam4 ай бұрын
Packing they will learn after a few trips. One of mine is a chronic over packer, will never learn. 😄 Healthy option is a hard sell. 😃 Vitamins are a must. Good luck to you!

It would be great if you could tell me what vitamin supplements did you pack for them? Did you just buy it from the pharmacy?
@WhatsUrHomeStoryMalayalam4 ай бұрын
@@elizabethvarghese6731 It is daily vitamin gummies we get for teen boys or girls. They have been having daily vitamin gummies from childhood.

We are leaving next hour to Lubbock, TX for my younger ones orientation. She is going to be living in a dorm. My older one lived in an apartment through her undergrad and now in her grad school. Lots of useful information.
