Ditto! Except the "large menus" didn't seem to do much? Thanks!

Look at the Edit, Functions and View Menus. They should appear bigger. Cheers!

1:33 can i add these commands back if i feel like it later on?
@thatlogicproguy Жыл бұрын
Hey there @asylumrain. You can def Initialize Key Command Selections in the Key Command Window. The Logic Pro settings will have to be manually adjusted. Hope that helps.

Dear, That Logic Pro Guy, EASY QUESTION PLEASE HELP!! I wanted to discuss a query regarding the order of my MacBook Air M2, which came bundled with Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro. While attempting to follow your instructions for accessing 'Key Command Assignments' in Logic Pro X, I noticed that the naming conventions in my settings appear different from what is displayed on your screen. For instance, your screen shows options such as 'Solo Mode', 'Set Solo Lock Mode', and 'Reselect Solo-Locked Regions' under 'Global Commands'. However, on my screen, the options are labeled as 'Toggle Solo Mode', 'Toggle Set Solo Lock Mode', and 'Reselect Solo-Locked Regions'. I am unsure whether I should delete these shortcuts, as I am a beginner who started using Logic Pro X approximately 4-5 months ago. I find it puzzling why Logic Pro X decided to introduce the word 'Toggle' in the naming convention. Could you please advise me on whether I should proceed with deleting these shortcuts? Unfortunately, I am unable to provide visual aids at the moment due to the fact that KZbin does not allow pictures in the comments portion. Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Best regards, A-R-L

Solid question. Do you know how to modify the key commands? If you feel comfortable with this, start changing them so they fit your workflow. If you still feel uncertain, I would probably leave them as is. It is paramount that you start using key commands whether they are the default or modified by you. Hope that helps A-R-L 🙏💪👍💯🔥

@@thatlogicproguy I appreciate your response and I completely understand your suggestion. I am familiar with modifying key commands and I feel comfortable making the necessary changes to suit my workflow. I agree that it is important to start using key commands, and I will take your advice to either customize them or keep them as is based on my level of comfort. Thank you for your assistance! Best regards, ARL

When I solo tracks in Logic, why do Midi external tracks keep playing regardless of being muted? I find that I have to turn them off. How do you get solo to work across all tracks in a project?
@thatlogicproguy Жыл бұрын
Hi there. This is too limited a space to speak about specifics but the External Midi device plays out of the External Instrument plug-in. That device has an Audio Input but so does the channel strip if you are recording in the audio. Special care needs to be paid attention to the inputs and outputs. That’s should get you there. Cheers!

@@thatlogicproguy Thanks, think I understand but the issue relates to just midi output. I'm pretty sure in the old days if I had a project with a mix of audio tracks and external midi tracks (controlling midi sound modules), I could solo any track be it audio or ext midi and only that track and sound would play. So if I soloed a midi track, just the midi module would play. What I find now is regardless of whether I solo an ext midi track, the sound module always plays that track - i.e. soloing does not mute the external midi data going out. I'll do some more research and see if I can understand! (is the external instrument plugin a new feature in Logic?)

In the 9 years, I have been in production it has always been like this. Set up is also a factor. If you have an external software like Console by UAD then that is something else to add to the plate. You can mute that input and that would certainly mute external midi coming in via the channel. Keep me posted with your progress
