Just to show you how addicted to Charles' prior 100 Logic Tips I am, I bookmarked it and was even watching it this morning. So, here we go, even more. Today I set aside the entire day to not write music, but to learn more about Logic so I CAN write more music, faster. I watched one video this morning on using the Marquee tool, and here are #23-29; the answer to my problem and learning curve right on time! Great stuff, Charles. I will spend most of my day watching these and taking notes.

Been making music / using logic pro since roughly 2015 ( currently on 10.8.1). This video has been one of the most helpful, in-depth logic tutorials video I've came across on KZbin. Appreciate you so much for your time, making videos like this for producers, artist, and creatives who need it. This is definitely more of an intermediate or advanced video going through the D.A.W, but even after almost using it for 10 years, I still have learned a lot of things in this video I didn't know about the D.A.W. Keep up the great videos Charles!

Great video. 25 years of Logic experience and still learned a few new ones, thanks! Re Stereo Panning: it not only lets you pan stereo signals in a different/better way compared to Balance Pan, but can also be used to narrow down stereo width per stereo track - with or without additional panning. Having (too) many stereo tracks all taking up the entire width of the stereo spectrum can cause clutter and is often not necessary. This is a great way to place and space your tracks in the mix.

Great video! Some points: - organizing your 3rd party plugins doesn't have to be done by putting the dash before the name of the folder. Just drag it in the order you want it in plugin manager. - 32bit is floating point and doesn't support processing in time and pitch machine. - duplicate track with midi data included can be done with Command+duplicate button. That will also include automation.

Love your tutorial Charles and so helpful in so many areas. I liked the section or chapters 26-30 using the marquee tool. I like the way you can create an area you want to go over and over or to quickly isolate performing a number of functions. It's quite a powerful tool. I also enjoyed your tips on how to be creative by simply experimenting using the loops and drum section and trying a bunch of what if I do this...I found that to be most helpful with creating ideas I simply can't come up with on my own.

#49 add photos to notes was something I didn't know I could do which is so useful! I don't have analog synths, but I do have an untreated room with a big space. I'm currently trying to figure out a good way to document where sounds best when recording vocals - not only where in the room the mic should be, but also the direction it should face. Something I did with your last video on this that was super-useful (and which I will be doing with this as well), is set up a timer for ten minutes a day with a notebook and pen, and then write down the tips and key commands that are most applicable to my needs. Then I'll immediately try and replicate those suggestions to make sure I get it. When the timer dings, I stop -- even if I don't want to -- because this helps me keep coming back to it daily until I'm finished because I didn't quit when I got bored or lost interest. (Hopefully this tip might help some others!) I sincerely appreciate the work you put into these -- you're an excellent teacher and communicator and I have great respect for that.

Thanks for this, all very helpful!! :) 73 was useful to know, as a total newb to logic its handy to be able to save random stuff and also be able to change it in the future, that its not stuck as a audio file but can be midi. Cheers.

Charles......thanks so much for this incredible video filled with an abundance of very useful info on Logic. If I could give you an unwarranted piece of advice....split your sessions into 1/2 blocks as the attention span just locks off after 40 minutes for the average person. I understand that we can always come back and view it over again but it would also give you more exposure and viewing sessions. I love the way you explain and break down each topic and it is very well explained. I also gave you rave reviews for the last one you did and it has changed my way of working with Logic in a very positive way. Cheers and cudos once again for this very powerful and instructive video.

I started about 22 years ago with Emagic Logic platinum 5.5.1. I was very young, 26 years old. Today I have to admit that Logic has changed although in essence it is the same old melody. Today I continue with productions (small productions), I have a much faster computer than 20 years ago and I changed to Steinberg, Cu-Base. I'm glad I didn't fall prey to the audio industry. By the way, nice video. A little long... I couldn't finish watching it. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany.

The best way for me to work, I make templates, every track has the instruments I want to use and buses already set up, effects can change and the instruments can be interchangeable, and usually I have the master output set up the way I like it, and those master out parts can change to my liking when needed. Now I’m never starting from scratch.
