2) Know your credit score. This is an extremely important part of the process as it has a direct impact on qualifying for a mortgage.
3) Connect with a Mortgage broker. I recommend working with Varan from iConnect Mortgages. A mortgage broker will formalise the whole process and provide you a formal pre-approcal and determine what your buying power is.
4) Connect with a local real estate sales person. Work with a realtor who knows the area in and out and can guide you on the right neighbourhoods and keep you out of the bad neighbourhoods.
