I have wanted to make my own pressed oils, soaps, lotions and more since I was 18. Now I'm 40 and finally trying my first batch tomorrow!!!

I have had all of these things for over a year and have been too scared to actually make anything lol. I love the recommendation of starting with smaller sized batches so that if you don’t like the recipe it isn’t a huge loss

It took me awhile to get started as well, but that's because I have a science background and in college we were always taught scientific concepts before being let loose in the lab. So to satisfy my curiosity about certain things that most people don't talk about pertaining to soap I bought the book Scientific Soapmaking. But my mom and I made our first batch last week using using Royalty Soaps tutorials in The Royal Creative Academy. I also found the channel Elly's Everyday Soap Making highly useful because she discusses things like calculating soap recipes to fit any mold, pH testing of soap, and superfat / lye discounting. I'll be making some soap on my own today.

Hi Charmeas! Your videos are very inspiring. If I had all of your equipment (including shelves/storage, labels, etc. ) and about 100 soap bars ready to be sold, how much would you say I would have spent? For planning purposes, could you give me an idea of the cost of running a business like this?
