Wonderful content and information. I never stopped coloring, since the age of 4 and I'm 60, now. From Crayola to Caran d'ache. You truly gave an excellent list of essentials. 😜

Great list of essentials! One thing I do with my BTSKY pencil cases (Love them!!) is I put down a long strip of masking tape on each page(usually along side the pencil loops) & then write the respective pencil numbers on the tape(with a extra fine sharpie)in color order matching each slot with each pencils number! This way when I remove several pencils I know exactly where each pencil goes back in respective order or if I've lost a pencil I know which one missing! I don't write on the case because I may need to change cases as with Black Widows that keep adding more pencils to the set! Thanks for your Great Channel!😉👍💖

Hey Pamela! Wonderful videos, I love your style. I also store my pencils and coloring whatnots in containers; I tend to dishwasher-wash my larger pickle and jam jars and then once all the labels are history, I use colorful art sticker labels on them. And put “arting tools” or other similar words on them. I actually already have most of what you have so rightfully suggested here, except the Dahle sharpener; my hands ache too much if I use a hand-crank, although the Kum(I have the one you showed plus the 2-holer ones) for some reason doesn’t! 🤷‍♀️ Lol. I mainly use the Jarlink one I have and my back-up AFMAT. Both electric and the Jarlink is also battery operated. I just re-initiated my adult coloring hobby after 4-5 years of not coloring; I art journal and also draw and paint. Thanks for your awesome channel! Keep up the great work. I have suscribed and will keep on watching. Happy coloring and have a fabulous New Year 2023 !

Love these all. I have the same pretty flower pencil case for my Prismacolors. I took a sharpie and right next to the elastic pencil loop I wrote the number of the pencil so when I pull a bunch of pencils to use, I can easily see where they go back to easily. Then I don’t have to get my color chart out.

Hey Pamela, I'm a member of your Facebook group and been following you videos on your youtube channel for a few months. I've learned a lot about how to work with pencils. I've been arty/crafty all my life. But I have a completely different question out if my curiosity, being a Southern girl I use "y'all" and was wondering what Southern state you are from. In from Alabama by the way.

Hey Pamela, I hope you don't mind me asking you a few questions. First, the Dahle sharpener goes for around $60 here in Canada (about 47 USD). Does that sound right? It seems very pricey for a pencil sharpener. Second, have you ever tried a kneaded eraser? I'm eyeing up the Mono Zero eraser but shaping the kneaded eraser into a fine tip does the trick as well I think. Lastly, I recently bought a 3-pack of Uniball Signo white gel pens and like them a lot. Would you recommend to also get the Posca markers? Or is one or the other enough to create highlights? Maybe it makes more sense to ask how you decide when to use the Posca as opposed to the Uniball Signo and vice versa. Thank you!

I just wonder if you ever have problems with your Dahle? I am on my third one. I love it, but sometimes I put a pencil in and the part that pulls out immediately shoots back in and the handle moves freely without sharpening the pencil. It’s so upsetting. Is it just me?

Hi Patsy! I have never had any issues with my Dahle. I have heard a lot of people say they have some issues and sometimes it's just something they were doing and not realize it. I made a video on the Dahle to help everyone out since it comes with no directions. Maybe try this video and if you're still having issues, I would contact Amazon to see if you can do a return. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIfRqo2Xd5iVrck

@@PamelasPassionforPencils Hi I started colouring in 2016 and was living in the Middle East at the time Pencil crayons were hard to get so started colouring with Lyra groove slim 36 set as i was not sure whether i would enjoy colouring but to my surprise i loved it. I returned back to South Africa 2.5 yrs ago and found crayons impossible to buy like Prismacolour i would kill for those but with the exchange rate they are so expensive... i got a set of 36 Colleen pencil crayons but as i watched youtube colouring tutorials i found myself frustrated as the colours being used never matched with my colour so i gave up my colouring... then on my 60th birthday i found the Lyra Rembrandt and compared to Prismacolor they were less expensive i read reviews and thought they sounded great so purchased the 72 set which has a wonderful array of colours but i still seem to be in a rut that everything i start to colour i hate and give up... since watching your videos which i love i am feeling more inclined to start my hobby again... my only wish is that i can find some colour alongs using the Lyra... but thank you so much for inspiring me again... i love watching your videos 👍 hope this was not too boring 🙄

I hate that pencil sharpener ... it doesn’t hold my pencil .. that piece you pull forward to put pencil through ... snaps back while I am trying to sharpen the dang pencil ✏️ drives me nuts ...I do however love the prismacolor round hand held one ... it has worked on all my pencils wax/oil. I just purchased a few different sets of colored pencils .. I looked for a video on the Pablo 120 order and you don’t have one lol 😂. I had to do it myself haha ...

@PamelasPassionforPencils
@PamelasPassionforPencils 4 жыл бұрын
Tracy, it shouldn't snap back. I have not had that issue with mine. I have also come to find out, when sharpening my very tiny pencils, that you don't need to pull the part forward. You can actually stick your pencil in and leave that part where it is. You would just need to push the side button. As for the Pablos, I looked too and I did not swatch them. I still need to do that so thank you for the reminder!
