SUPER RARE 1986 Charvel Model 3 USA Kahler 2520 and paint matched neck!

I Just bought a never used red Charvel Model 2 only 2 Days ago here in Germany ....forgoten in a small Guitar Store for almost 30 years and the Collector sell it to me ,as i sayd ,2 Days ago. All Documents & Tools Inside include also the original Charvel Chainsaw Case 😊 i still can't believe it

I have one of these serial is 229xxx. The brass bushings they pressed into the soft body eventually rocked out. After luthiers first attempt to repair with hardwood dowels I ended up getting a machine shop to insert a steel mounting bar for the trem screws. Now it's a real metal guitar :) I wonder if this was an issue with other guitars that may have contributed to them switching trems, in addition to the cost?

I had a red one of these about 30 years ago. It had one of the nicest necks I've ever owned. It might've been in my head, but the neck felt slightly smaller than my later Model 3. The Kahler had something wrong with it -- it didn't float properly/didn't stay in tune -- so, rather than fixing it, I foolishly got rid of it

I bought a charvel model 2 it had a non original Kahler killer. I went in to my local music shop as I know they have a heap of old parts. I walked out with a brand new in packet Kahler 2520 for $150aud my model 2 is now pretty much stock apart from the neck.

I owned this model from 1997 to 2007-2008. and sold it to some metalhead for 350€. I didn't know it is rare at the time. I didn't like the tone and the neck though...
