So I guess 0:12-0:35 must be Japan's way of saying: "The Esso sign means happy motoring, the Esso sign means happy motoring, the Esso sign means happy motoring... call at the Esso sign!"
Given all the skiing scenes, could this spot have aired on Japanese television around the time of the 1972 Winter OPlympics in Saporro??

1972 and 1976 were Summer Olympics years. It had to be 1970, 1974, or 1978.

This commercial was produced in 1962 when Esso Standard Oil entered Japan. The commercial in the latter half is a commercial for tiger kerosene used for heating.
These commercials are for some reason creepy what’s creepier is I’ll never get the context of these commercials because the entire comment section is in Japanese
