Cool stuff! I got that Joe Montana rookie card and it’s my best one. The lures are great and they go back almost a hundred years now, crazy.

Hey Doc of archaeology...if you're into those folding chairs keep your eyes peeled for the Woodstream one that has integrated rod holder...I got one some time back. That Old pal box I bought as a kid and they had a sticker on them that was fluorescent and said "worm proof" for the type of plastic drawers that didn't get jacked by plastic worms. I think you meant to say " you can't buy ANYTHING for $15 in a gas station".

The lure in the storm box is a Norman, Tiny N or Baby N. I forget Mr. Hale's first name, but he worked for Stanley Jigs sometime between the late 90's and early 2000's. His craws were popular as jig trailers in the mid to late 90's. They were also put on Stanley's Finesse Jigs and sold with it's own cardboard and plastic package like bitsy bugs are now. I called Stanley Jigs sometime around the year 2000 looking to order their Finesse Jigs and was transferred to Mr. Hale. I believe he was in charge of sales at the time.

Thats great info! Thanks for letting me know about the Storm. I thought that package was sealed. That’s cool to learn about the Hale. They’re awesome soft plastics. Thanks again for watching and writing in.

That Rogers prop lure is a good big fish lure. If the lure and box clean up nice and are matching color codes it makes a nice addition to a Rogers or vintage top water lure collection. If the box color code and lure doesn't match fish it. Tune it on the water by twisting the props in opposite directions and bend them back some so they counteract each other by spinning in opposite directions keeping the lure upright, props spinning freely, and spraying water on the retrieve. Like most top waters it excels in low light conditions, but it's money on windy days with some chop on the water and some cloud cover. It sprays water and fishes similar to a modern plopper lure. They aren't worth much, but they are very fun to fish with and excellent fish catchers. Nice score on the Adventurer tackle box, and the Coleman cooler.
