My first new car. Mine was black and manual. Great car. Took good care of it. Ran great until a dump truck turned into it and scraped the driver side from back to front back in 2002-ish. Cosmetic only ("Just a flesh wound"). Insurance totaled it but I bought it back for $500. Kept on driving it years later until I gave it to my bro. I bought a 2007 Corolla after this one but it didn't hold a candle to the 93 one (Toyota went cheap and used torsion beam for the rear suspension. I think they still do for the current generation). I really missed that car. Currently have a 2000 Corolla brought back from the dead with 338k miles. After refresh, runs great!

Millage doesn’t matter in a car as long as you service it well and give it its maintenance.

93 Corollas and Camrys had the best new car smell. Lasted for years. It would get on your clothes and anything that was in the trunk too.

Amazing condition base model Corolla. This colour was never offered on Australian models. Our models all came standard with cassette players - never seen a car from 1993 that didn't have this.

This will outlast a new VW by hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles. I say that confidently because my 94 Corolla outlasted a 2010 VW CC, a 1993 Saab 9000, and a 2005 BMW X5 with only basic maintenance. These Corollas are very well engineered .

Most definitely it will. New VWs require specific maintenance. I have one and it runs excellently and is dealer-maintained. But a Corolla like this needs far less in terms of maintenance. My family had one years ago.

Looks clean. I would invest in tinted windows to help protect the interior. You don’t want that dash to crack!

I agree! I just got my aunts 1994 passed down to me. And I just got the windows tinted. Further more, I hate driving in fish bowls. This is a very reliable car and she’s had it for over 29 years. Runs good, no issues at all
