Hiking Estes Cone on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park in mid-November.
This is a nice moderate hike that mostly goes through the forest, but there are excellent panoramic views from the summit. I started this hike from the Longs Peak Trailhead but it can also be accessed from the Lily Lake Trailhead.
Distance: 6.5 miles round trip
Trailhead Elevation: 9,400 feet (2,865m)
Summit Elevation: 11,006 feet (3,355m)
