Rishi Sunak clearly is quite a smart guy in his own way. But being smart doesn't make you intellectual, and more importantly it doesn't make you wise. It is not just about intellect. For right or for wrong, the Thatcher cabinet had a sense of purpose in transforming the country. They were not there for self enrichment or self aggrandizement. Not only do the current crop of politicians not know what is right for the country, they are more interested in doing what is right for themselves. You need intellect and you need integrity.
