Esther Ofarim's voice is so pure, so evocative. I revisit this song whenever I need a quiet, gentle moment of meditation and contemplation.

That is what I call an intense, deep and fervent song, which is given obviously as an audio put to a video. Many thanks for posting it.

My second favourite version - after composer Bobby Scott's own vocal version on his Warner LP "Robert William Scott". Bobby wrote [music] the song with Ric Marlow [lyric]. Bobby also did the original instrumental version, on his Atlantic LP. This version - also arranged by the late and great Bobby Scott - is from Esther Ofarim's LP "Is It Really Me" released on Mercury Records, 1965. It's great...

Thank you for introducing me to this version, which I had never heard before - interesting! Scott also co-wrote the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"

Winds may blow over the icy sea I'll take with me the warmth of thee A taste of honey A taste much sweeter than wine I will return I'll return I'll come back for the honey and you I'll leave behind my heart to wear And may it e'er remind you of A taste of honey A taste much sweeter than wine I will return I'll return I'll come back for the honey and you He ne'er came back to his love so fair And so she died dreaming of his kiss His kiss of honey A taste more bitter than wine I will return I will return I'll come back for the honey and you I'll come back for the honey and you! Songwriters: Daniele Tignino / Emiliano Patrik Legato
