Deseray Delgado yes basically! it was a rule actually designed by the woman that runs this channel! i take it a step further though and cleanse with my oil cleaner for 60 seconds and then take my regular cleanser and cleanse with that for 60 seconds. i started seeing results in about a month! also another tip is to use a cleanser with a chemical exfoliant in it (i use dermologica skin resurfacing cleanser). definitely watch her video though it may take a little bit but once the results start happening it will be forever worth it. it’s been a year and my texture hasn’t come back at all and it was something i really never thought i’d be able to get rid of 😭

I love how she said that we don't need to stress over skincare and it's only for fun and relaxing, this is my first time hearing it and it's so true stressing over will only make your skin more damaged due to overthinking it. We already think about bigger stuff in our life we don't need small things to add to that stress. Amazing video and you have a fun personality thank you :)

Sandra Kho Maybe consider the fact that many people of color have never seen themselves represented in this field, and have often been given shit advice on how to care for their skin, and then please chill out. Maybe educate yourself a bit. Just a suggestion.
@fa7832
@fa7832 4 жыл бұрын
@@sandrasullivan6095 It applies because darker skin tones face different problems than lighter skin tones. An esthetician of a different race can say to use a product but not have dealt with the same problem or even use the same product. It's pretty simple to understand when you choose to not get unnecessarily offended. 😊
@HeyitsBri_
@HeyitsBri_ 4 жыл бұрын
Sandra Kho have you ever wondered why? Representation. It is important for non-white representation to their respective groups. When a group is already well represented it’s hard for them to understand why it’s necessary to point anything out because it’s already easily digestible to them; which is your boat. You’re the only ignorant person here honestly

I tried this just now and I swear I've never had my face feel so soft and look so glowy, plump and just healthy. I get VERY textured skin and get a lot of sebum build up and it can be hard to find ways to get rid of it without it being too harsh but I find this works so well. I used a "coconut body oil" that also has olive, grapeseed, almond oil and a few others and it worked *chefs kiss* definitely including this into a once or twice a week regimen. Self love y'all 😘

So I followed along to the video and used some testers I received. Skin before: one really clogged pore that is rlly stubborn and been there for a while, loads of black dots on my nose and breaking out cuz sis is on her period. During: massaging my cheek and feel a little release as a huge peice of grit pops out of my skin, from this pore that’s been clogged for MONTHS-- rlly soothing and lots of little chunks came out it looked as the black dots(idk if they were blackheads or not) were still on my nose so I gave up and washed my face After washing: BOY first thing I see is a nose with no dots on it. Idk how many times I said wow but I reached up to touch my face and BOY lemme tell you it was as soft as a babys bottom Praise to you! This is a miracle for my skin! Here's what i do , i first wash my face, steam my face for 10 min then pat my face with a towel and when my skins still warm and start off with oil cleansing right away around 20-25 min . Oil cleansing is more effective when we steam, our pores are opened, the oil can easily go in and removes all the gunks. It removes so much of whiteheads and blackheads and , after which i wash it off with lukewarm water and i double cleanse and go with my face mask and wash it off and i apply my serums and moisturizers! Makes my skin feeling super clean, soft and glowyyy!!

I use the oil-cleansing method since 6 years. My skin is now way better than it used to be. I use sweet almond oil or jojobaoil and only use cold water (never warm) and a damp cloth to remove the resedue. After that I wash my face again with cold water, but don't dry it after and put an organic cream on my face. At nighttime I also put almond oil under my eyes (it reduces puffiness in the morning) and a lipmask. I'm now 36 years old but everyone thinks I'm 23. No need for fillers or botox here:)

People who had a bad experience with oil cleansing. I hope u know that you’re supposed to follow up with a water based cleanser or else you’ll breakout like crazy. Also never ever leave the oil cleanser on your skin for more than 2 minutes- max 3 minutes, its supposed to be part of a double cleansing system not replace it, so massage the oil cleanser in your skin then rinse it then after go in with your regular cleansing wash(water based face wash). IF U LEAVE IT ON FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES IT WILL IRRITATE YOUR SKIN, especially if you have acne prone skin.

I don’t think I have gotten the oil in my eye before , but I also make sure NOT to put spf around my eyes for the same reason as you stated with the oil - also it hurts lol. Also A I would not say oil cleansing and exfoliating are preforming the same job- which is why I can oil cleanse daily but only exfoliate 1.5 time per mo. Oil cleanse is really more like taking the day off truly like the real initial first cleansing step. 15/30 seconds with oil or an oil cleanser then followed by your water based cleanser. I started oil cleansing about a week ago. I used grape seed oil at first because I saw people on twitter recommend it. However, I’m almost positive it broke me out! I started using sweet almond oil instead, as I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s working so much better! I love it. I have normal skin by the way.

Same! I used it for about 3 days and my skin was clearer before that so I ran back to my Dermalogica precleanse. Its the best!

No, you don’t use oil. There are specially formulated oil cleansers. I use the one from Organys and it’s amazing.

Ooh I just ran out of my sweet almond oil, had no problems & started using grapeseed. I'll have to pay attention to see if I break out. TFS

Use an oil-based cleanser. It’s a lot better.

Same! Someone commented on a James Welsh video to wear sport wristbands to stop water dripping off your elbows. It really works.

If you're able to, try washing your face under the bath faucet! It's a faster wash off process because more water comes out and there's almost no mess ;)

You can also use hair scrunchies on your wrist to help stop water from running to your elbows. Game changer!

Thank you so much for this information! I massaged my face last night with a blend of hemp oil, Castor oil and I think one or two others (I've been oil cleansing for awhile) for 15 minutes and I cannot believe my face today!!! So smooth and so many of my blackheads are gone or reduced! So excited!!! I've tried so many things and nothing has worked like this.

Last night I tried to cleansing oil for 15 minutes, and it was my biggest regret. Because I woke up in the morning with glowing and beautiful skin,,, my biggest regret is:: why I just know about this thing (THANK YOU TIKTOK) 😂

Imma try this on my combination oily skin. I’ll give updates. Update: it made my skin feel so soft for days . I don’t do it everyday because it takes too much time.But it reduced my acne and hella stuff was coming out of my face. I have oily skin so I used sunflower oil. I recommend it. I do it 2-3 times a week.

Sooo since I have combination to oily skin too I'm just gonna do the updates instead: 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚎 28ᵗʰ: I tried it with rosehip oil (from the ordinary) and it kinda worked. A few things came out, I'd say 7 or so, and I think that's not bad for the first time. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 𝙹𝚞𝚕𝚢 1ˢᵗ: Just did it the second time, only one thing came out but my skin feels suuuuper soft. 😌

aurora aurori Hi! I was wondering how your skin is a month later? Did you continue doing it?

I did it two times exactly, and my skin went straight to hell. Never been so bad, awful, painful, or prevented me from sleeping because of the pain. I got acne so horribly severe that I'm on antibiotics, I have to take painkillers to be able to sleep, and no one praising and recommending this method while claiming to be a professional mentioned a single thing about risks and some skins not taking it well ("for all skintypes", bullshit!). Not only that, but out of 3 friends I know tried oil cleansing as well, all 3 had bad experiences with it. Would not recommend.

Great to see the experiences of those with combo skin. Unfortunately she only mentioned recommended oils for oily and dry skin.

I saw your original video a few years ago and have been doing the 60-second oil cleansing since. My skin is so much better - I seldom get hormonal breakouts now (I'm almost 60). This method has kept my pores clear of the sebaceous filaments (mainly on my nose). So thank you for that original video!

I got here to watch how oil cleansing works, but ended up taking care of myself for an hour and didn’t realize how much I needed that! Thank you for saying that self care doesn’t have to be stressful, it’s a time to relax and meditate. So needed to hear that 🩵🥀🩵
