I started oil cleansing 2 months ago after watching this video. My skin has never been so soft, so hydrated, so plump or so even toned in my life. I’ve worn foundation out of the house daily since I was about 13. I’m 26 now, and for the first time today I went to work without any foundation.

How I cleared my acne from the inside out. Inside: 1.Reduce or eliminate dairy from your diet. 2. Reduce or eliminate processed sugar. 3.Eat more greens and berries 4.Eliminate saturated fat from diet instead cook with Organic extra virgin coconut oil. 6.Drink warm water with lemon/lime or apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.(flushes toxins out from your body and gives you an energy boost) 5. Drink lots of water and drink green tea or Tumuric milk (loaded with antioxidants and tastes yummie) Outside: Morning skinroutine: 1.I wash my face with Christina Moss Natural's Organic Facial Wash. 2. Christina Moss Organic Facial Toner. 3.Kleem Organics Vitamin C serum for moisterizer. Or you can use Jojoba oil or Argan oil or any non-comodegonic oil. 4.Apply sunprotection SPF 30 or higher before going out. ( I use Neutrogena Ultra Dry-Touch SPF 100+) Night skinroutine: 1.I use Organic tea tree face wash. It's goes well for my skin since I have oily skin and it balance the pH of your skin. 2.Exfoliate. You should use the type of exfoliater that goes well with your skin type. 3.As toner I use Organic Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with water. 4.Moisterize with Kleem Organics Vit C serum. Once a week: Indian Healing Clay Aztec Secret. (works wonders!) I do these steps religiously and my acne is gone!!! I'm sure it will help you too! You can find these products on Amazon. Much Love from an aruban girl♡

Hi Abbielle, question, did this increase your facial hair growth at all? I know some of these oils are also said to promote hair growth? Thanks. I just don’t wanna end up with a beard😭
@scarlet43827 жыл бұрын
I find the reason why oils help with the skin is because you add oil instead of having you face produce it. So if you cleanse with harsh cleansers that strip your face of your natural oils then you make your face produce MORE oil. But also plant oils can have many healing properties, but i think this is another key factor to it.
@legravanrooyen16495 жыл бұрын
This is very true. Beautifully said.

Oil cleansing works great for removing makeup, but for me I could not just rely on it solely. After removing makeup, I do a second cleanse using a super gentle cleanser (no foaming or anything!). I've found that that is the best way for my acneic/sensitive skin. Then, I might use other oils as an overnight treatment, such as argan oil (just depending on how my skin feels and the weather, etc.).

She's mentioned before that adopting a plant-based diet (no dairy, animal products -except honey- and gluten-free) helped her skin! Watch her Draw My Life video xx
@emmerz638 жыл бұрын
i only developed this acne AFTER i went vegan. and i've rewatched her draw my life video multiple times but she never goes into depth about what exactly worked best for her, just that she vaguely "jumped into the world of holistic health" and cut certain things from her diet (which didn't fully banish the acne). her skin looks incredible now, i HAVE to know how she did it
@YogawithKaylee8 жыл бұрын
Can be many things, but if it's persistent even after going vegan it can certainly be a hormonal imbalance, allergy, or intolerance. Gluten is an inflammatory food, so maybe going 30 days without will help. I've noticed since taking a multi-vitamin (I like Rainbow One Women's) and b12 my skin has become so radiant as well! Might simply be a vitamin deficiency (I mentioned this in a recent video). good luck!
@pl97068 жыл бұрын
How long have you been vegan for? It could just be your body's way of detoxing as it's common for people to get acne after they cut out animal products from their diet.
@emmerz638 жыл бұрын
thanks for all the suggestions guys. it could definitely be a hormonal issue or deficiency, i really need to get some tests done. i really have the cleanest diet, basically all fruits and vegetables, no gluten, not even any processed food. i've been vegan for a little over a year and the acne started maybe 8-10 months ago? i just don't believe that this could possibly be detox since i've been suffering with severe, painful, cystic acne perpetually for months and months.

@@meryemzrigui62 oh no I'm so sorry to hear that. I tend to try and leave my skin alone as much as I can. When I feel the need to I still use the same chamomile cleansing balm from The Body shop. I give my skin a gentle but thorough scrup with a muslin cloth. Then I use a moisturizer from Lush. It sounds silly but I use a "jade" roller (it was cheap so its probably Serpentine not jade) but, I massage the moisturiser into my skin with the roller straight from the fridge. And this way your not using your hands on your skin. Hope that helps. Remember everyones skin is unique. I hope you feel happier with your skin soon :)

Hi All, I just want to say that I used this method and it made my acne much much worse. I usually have 2 or 3 on my chin around my period and they go away in a week or 10 days. but when I used oil cleansing this way my acne spread to my cheeks, my neck and my forehead and they have persisted for over 3 months now. after I started educating myself more about skin care because my skin became such a mess, I learnt that you can't just use oil alone because that will clog your pores and it's not enough to properly clean your face, so you need a face wash after the oil to clean and clear everything from your face. I sincerely hope you can add that to this method as it can do more harm than good.
@msalps69674 жыл бұрын
Thank you 🙏 I was just anticipating whether should I follow it up with a cleanser or not. Awesome that you mentioned so.
@mahaabdelkhalek25524 жыл бұрын
Ms Alps the oil is good only if you use makeup, it helps break down the makeup off your face, but it doesn’t actually clean it, so without a proper cleanser the oil will clog your pores. If you don’t use makeup then just use a good cleanser, the oil will be unnecessary

Christina, when people complain about acne and how to clear it up I tell them to go vegan, or cut diary and red meats out of their diet for a few months if they can't make the transition completely. But I receive such negative backlash that I'm trying to brainwash with vegan propaganda. I'm totally not though! If people would just eat clean they would see how beautiful their skin will glow and how their body will feel over all! I turned vegan Feb 2016. I kept track of what I ate and concluded that I am actually allergic to cow milk and cheese. Not lactose intolerant, but actually allergic, my throat muscles tense and I can feel them closing if it's a bad reaction. Since cutting that out, I no longer have cystic acne, underneath the skin, but deal with monthly blemishes, but unlike before these blemishes heal within 2-3 days, I guess bc they're hormonal. Well, that's my little story =)

Well, since the time I posted the comment, I changed my receipt. I used to use simple oils, and THEN use a cleanser (this one : www.aroma-zone.com/info/fiche-technique/base-lavante-neutre-bio-aroma-zone). Now I mix oils (1/3 castor oil, 2/3 olive oil as usal) with a little bit of babassu foam (www.aroma-zone.com/info/fiche-technique/tensioactif-mousse-de-babassu-aroma-zone), which is a tensioactive, and I add few drops of a natural conservative. It transforms to a heavy cream, very easy to use and very efficient for removing make up, and I can rince it very easily.

I honestly point everyone I know this way when they ask about skincare, because it truly changed my skin! (Along with applying moisturiser and spf daily) Thank you so much! I agree, keep it simple......however it’s so hard to find the right product for ur skin, like for example rose water breaks me out and I just end up spending money for nothing.

I just saw this video about 2 days ago and took to the idea immediately! As a life-long sufferer of acne-prone skin, I'm definitely interested in finding ways to repair the scarring and hyperpigmentation, as well as being GOOD for my skin. I have already been trading out my makeup to natural organic brands for the past 5 years, but this is the next level. In the past month, I have tried Faerie Organics Rosehip Regenerative Oil Blend under makeup and at night. This has been a revelation, but I have become obsessed with healthy oils now and this oil cleansing method has been great! I went and purchased high quality castor oil and mixed it with Desert Essence Oil blend of Moringa, Jojoba and Rosehip. So far, I'm quite pleased with the results--although it's still early, I'm still excited... I plan on buying organic versions of all oils in the near furture--this video gave me the idea to DIY for oil cleansing and now creating my own oil blends for under makeup and at night. I've already got my shopping list of oils: Organic Hazelnut, jojoba, apricot seed, tamanu, and rosehip seed. In the long run, it will save me alot of money over buying nice quality ready-made formulas. Thanks so much for your video! It's helped a lot!

That's what I'm afraid of. My face breaks out at everything, and it took the dermatologist two years to figure out something that actually works for my skin. If I try this I might undo a lot of hard work...

+Addie B You also have to take into account that Sarah is only eating raw, clean foods, drinking lots of water, etc.. so she is fighting her acne from the inside out, which is truly the best way to start!
@sarafritsch1238 жыл бұрын
What happens often is that the first couple weeks when you start oil cleansing you tend to break out (that's what happened to me) because the oil is removing all that buildup, which causes it to be extracted from the skin which can cause breakouts. It goes away after a bit, an d from then it it's smooth sailing. Make sure you don't use coconut oil or olive oil or castor oil even. I find jojoba works best. I used to breakout all the time until I started oil cleansing, and my skin has literally never been better.
@eviozyra63008 жыл бұрын
you can do a second cleanse with a centle gel/milk cleanser to remove the excess oil that might be causing your breakouts, that works for me at least. :) Just try it out.
@kreepykulture8 жыл бұрын
+Addie B if you're serious about this, I would consult your dermatologist about it. I began oil cleansing and the only way I could undo the acne and damage I did was to go to the dermatologist for the first time (which I don't regret, my skin is better than ever!). I just think you should do your research and consult your doctor first

Oh my gosh, it works! When I first watch this video, my jaw practically hit the floor I thought “this girl is crazy!” Putting oil on my face as a cleanser?! I had never heard of something so ludicrous. Though no other products was working for my stubborn acne. I had tried benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, pore strips and alcohol wipes. (all at the same time.) Which I was told was to clear acne up, but it just made it worse. my skin was dryer and my pores became bigger. So I tried this oil cleansing. I’ve only been doing it for two weeks, and I have seen the biggest difference in my skin! I cannot say enough good things about it. It has removed some of my acne, made my pores smaller, and just makes my skin feel extremely soft and hydrated. Too early to tell about the long term benefits but it’s going really well so far. So glad I started doing oil cleansing with a homemade cleanser! (Made of 3 tbs jojoba oil and 1 tbs castor oil.)

This is one thing I have never tried for my skin but I've been very curious and yet still extremely terrified of what it might do. I have read HORROR stories about people who had acne and it make it completely unmanageable... My acne is still pretty bad and a ton of pitted scarring as well. Did you have any sort of "purge" when you first started? I'm so curious and I want to try it but all those horror stories that say "DO NOT TRY THIS" are freaking me out! Ha
@GracieK4198 жыл бұрын
Same!!!! I like keeping my skincare routine natural, but am so scared of all the horror stories lol. I'm a pretty healthy eater & have been a vegetarian since I was 3, so all of the "change your diet to healthy eating for clear skin" isn't really working for me either. Idk whether this natural route would help, or turn out like the other natural "good diet & exercise" route has for my skin.

My fave was horrible. I tried the oil cleanising method and in three weeks my face has almost no pimple. Some scars are left which I will try to remove with OCL and Bragg's ACV. I suggest you use the OCL but skip two days and use, then if it suits your skin, skip a day and use. I also like to use almond and tea tree oil on my scars and pimples. They help too.

not that I've ever had an issue with my skin, but I was struggling on finding the right products to use, so I started oil cleansing. Living in Greece, we have the benefit of having high quality extra virgin olive oil easily purchased and inexpensive. My oil cleansing method began and I will admit, in the beginning I did have some breakouts, but a week later, my skin felt softer and moisturized. Now I wouldn't change it for anything ever again! Thank you so much for the video!!!!!

I moisturize with Calia moisturizers with a few extra drops of rosehip seed, jojoba, and argan oils :) If you're a bit prone to breakouts like me, try some tea tree oil at night as well but be sure to dilute it with something else or it can burn a bit. Be aware too that it has a pretty strong smell..... If you can get past that, I think you'll really like it!

I have really oily skin and I use Urb Apothecary's serums. They offer three different ones: Flower Facial Serum, Green Tea Serum and Sun Worshiper Repair Serum. I just found your channel, and I absolutely love it! I struggle a lot with acne and acne scarring lately, and the idea of having such a natural skin care routine! I've experimented before with using oatmeal to cleanse my face and using witch hazel as a toner, but my mom wouldn't let me use it since my dermatologist gave me a bunch of acids to put on my face that only makes my skin super red, burn, peel and flake all of the time :( How should I convince my mom?

Elisa Vieira Nelson doesn't she see your skin after washing? Show it to her and say that it hurts and you don't feel good with it and that you would like to try something else...that's more likely even cheaper ✨ Oatmeal and witch hazel oil are cheaper than a bunch of products from the dermatologist, so that's a plus point 😉 Good luck!
