Tess, thank you for this and all the videos you make . I love how knowledgeable you are in skin care. I myself am in school for esthetics but soon to be graduating in less than two months. I’m so excited, and you are what inspired me to start this career choice. I love going to school and how much I’m learning from it. I’m glad i made the choice to do this and it’s thanks to you. Love you girl!!! ❤️

@@TessZolly lol it's a well known fact argan oil is one of the best moisturizers out there. I guess youd rather your clients pay for expensive professional serums and moisturizers than just using argan oil as a moisturizer. Natural way is best way anyway.

Andrea Angel you are truly an angel! My advice is to breathe, focus on your breath and actually listen to what they’re saying before responding. Don’t try to think of how you’ll respond ahead of time, just be yourself and respond naturally. You really start to build the best relationships when you can be yourself. ❤️I have some advice toward the end of this video! Xo
@andreaangel97635 жыл бұрын
Tess Zolly thank you so much for responding😭💙 I just don’t want my clients to think i’m not genuine when i’m speaking to them or recommending them skin care products. I don’t want them to think that I am just trying to make money off of them, because it’s actually about helping them achieve their skin care goals.

I do agree that people many times want the cheap product without looking at what it does for the skin, however I've seen MANY brands that can only be bought at pharmacies, offered by estheticians to my sister and are quality brand that have fragrance in them and sometimes even drying alcohol. I personally am someone who has to do intense research of ingredients because of my acne-prone HIGHLY sensitive skin (I have to use PHA instead of any AHA's, can't use niacinamide or centella asiatica and even high percentages of hyaluronic acid can irritate my skin), and in general I've noticed western brands are just lacking with affordable skincare without irritants or bad ingredients. Every product I use is mostly asian, fragrance free always, never even had a product with sls because they don't exist outside of shampoos, no bad alcohols etc. And I also noticed a lot of these professional grade brands so to speak, rarely can I even find their ingredient lists of their products which to me is a very important part to know before buying a product. So although the general consensus I agree, there are definitely affordable brands out there that have amazing ingredients in them and are developed well, especially non-western ones, so maybe you could look into some affordable brands to recommend to patients who really don't wanna spend money. Even though it might hurt, it's still better then letting them use eucerin :)

k8lyn hi sweet girl! Missed ya. Okay so I’ve been hearing very mixed things about Eminence- good to the environment, expensive but short shelf life, huge line, some say it’s kind of average results or only best for people without major issues... a really great resource is the FB group esthetician connection. You can join the group and search legit any brand and get tips from other esties!! So helpful!! Xxx

Estheticians: I am interested in becoming an esthetician but I had back surgery a few years back and tend to get back pain easily. I was wondering if working as an esthetician causes a lot of back pain? This is something I really need to know before I get into the field. Thank you to anyone who can answer. 💓

CA hi. I want to be honest here- I believe it is a career where your body can be compromised. You have to be extremely careful to stretch and exercise the right muscles as well as be aware of your posture and how you extend yourself in the treatment room. I believe regular massages are important as well. I do pilates and cryo as well to help. It’s something i don’t mess around with as I have been in two serious accidents. I like to use a foam roller As well. Hope this helps. Xx
