As a fellow Esthetician and cosmetic formulator, I will say the list of ingredients is fine and every skin type could probably use it because the ingredients are pretty basic. 🙃 I am not sure how effective the line would be because I don't see many actives and the serum can have vitamin c, but what's the percentage of it because that plays a huge role in its effectiveness. As far as the surfactants in the cleanser, that's how a lot of cleansers are and they use multiple to boost the lather and/or the cleansing ability. This is a line more for someone with normal skin, if you have other skin conditions like hyperpigmentation, acne, etc because of this price point, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

Hello! I’m a formulation chemist as well as a licensed esthetician. From the list of ingredients that you listed off the formula of the products are pretty standard. This is the type of formulation that you will find in most skincare lines that aren’t professional grade. For instance, you discussed the first five ingredients in the cleanser. Generally the first five ingredients in a cleanser will be the cleansing agents. You won’t see the additives that’s mentioned in marketing until the end of the list. This is because things like essential oils, antioxidants, etc. have to be use in very small amounts in order to keep the product safe for the skin and affordable. I think what she and her team was trying to do is give the public a piece of her that they can take home. She known for having beautiful skin and this is their attempt to give her audience that. I have so much more to say about it, but I don’t want to be long winded. I hope this helps! I love you channel by the way!

But when you selling products to the consumer you have to list all the ingredients on the label/container,everything that was used should have been on the label. FROM what gathered the ingredients she was reading was off the bottle.
@Yourfavchemist

@@pooh4025 here there! You’re absolutely correct! When selling anything to the public you have to list every ingredient in the product in descending order. If I’m not mistaken she said in the video that she was only going to read the first five ingredients in the products. So, my comments were based off her commentary in the video.

Love your honesty!!! As a massage therapist who’s worked with estheticians for 12yrs & hearing their stories I knew this line would be BS. I honestly don’t think Lori has ever had bad skin but just says that because she thinks others will relate & buy. I have oily combination skin & I can tell these products would’ve broke me out. I noticed none of these products have SPF. Another no for me along with me not like scents.

I make skincare products and also I'm a Esthetician but I was shocked to hear they used Sodium hydroxide in a serum,I use this to make soap because this is Lye which helps with soaponification process but also it can be used in cleansers to bring the PH level up. Once I saw the price point that didn't sway me to want to try the products honestly. Mainly because I don't feel like it would be worth it. I am a skincare junkie and I love ROC skincare they always have sales and their products are amazing! I also like aveeno, Lancome, Clinique, and Estee Lauder and I own all of these brands. So Lori's products just didn't make me want to take a chance. I don't feel like it's anything spectacular about this line so I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it. 🙄

The price points are throwing me off. Would definitely love to support Lori in some way through her career that is clearly growing and thriving, but I don’t see anything from these products that remotely gives an indication of what the point of the line is except to make some cash. Nothing wrong with wanting to make money, but what’s separates this skincare line from Kylie Jenner or Addison Rae or any of these 20 years olds out here making skincare products???
