My dad is an ESTJ (I'm an INFJ) and he's awesome. He's always taken his responsibilities to his family very seriously and enjoys being a reliable provider and problem-solver for his loved ones. Despite his orderly and structured life he can be very warm: he dotes on children and animals and chats up random strangers in the check-out line. I don't think he ever truly understood my creative/intuitive side, but he always encouraged me to make my own choices in life.

Your last sentence "May be annoying, but very good people". Couldn't agree more as ESTJ myself. I always tend to think of myself as a weirdo until I took the personality test and finally understood that this is just me. My personality. And how ESTJ "tick" in general. Through my entire life, I always had conflicts with my friends because of them not being organised, honest or whatever, but in the end, I am always there for them 24/7, whenever they need me. Also I had to stop video at 1:30. Because that moment perfectly reflects me. If I had even the smallest evidence about what other side says, I'll consider that as an excuse (which is shown in 1:30). Say its stubborness, or whatever, but thats really how ESTJ's are. In the end, most of the time we were right, but when we are not. Its extremely hard to accept that. One fun story: I had a friend who I met in college, we were in great relationship (with conflicts here and there lol), and I helped him to pass over 20 exams. I'm not even joking with the number. It could be even higher. I graduated before him, when he had 4 exams left. After that we had another conflict which lead to (currently) pause in all contacts between us, and he is still at 4 exams left. And I think about him every day, but my pride won't let me to contact him because I believe that he was wrong and dishonest to me. He obviously isn't contacting me neither, but if he did, I'd accept to hang around or even help him with remaining exams. That's another example of ESTJ's for you. I really wanted to improve myself on that field, but it always end up the same. Then I took personality test (few times to make sure), and every single time I ended up being ESTJ. So it was kinda "relief" when I read everything about that personality type to better understand myself. And accept who I am. Some things can be changed, but entire personality type? I highly doubt. Especially when you are not young anymore and followed that path for entire life (I'm neary 30yo). You can't change that over night. Its impossible. Just go with it! :)

My mom is an ESTJ (I'm an INTP) and this video describes her perfectly. Personal story: the part at 1:25 about not wanting to listen to sob stories reminded me of the time when I watched her play Project Makeover (the match-3 game, you know) and I asked her why she was skipping the cutscene. She said that it was a sob story about how the character got into the situation and she would rather not listen to it and just continue playing the game.

As an INTJ I can say that we would be the best leaders for this entire society, but we are normally afraid of giving that step ahead to take this responsability, we also see it like a pain in the ass, but the truth is that its time for us to do it, this world needs some help and even tho ESTJ are great leading to get things done, they tend to lack of empathy and they can even be close-minded to that sometimes, we might lack empathy too, but we are smart enough to understand it needs to be given. INTJs tend to respect people philosophies even tho we dont fall for any, we love what is fair, its fair to live free, its fair to live good, its fair to protect the animals and the earth and we are not afraid on pursuing these goals even when a bunch of rotten lives that threaten these need to be taken. We wont be making a damage, the damage has already been done and we are smart enough to underatand it, i which i could have a child with an ESTJ this having the estj willingness and the intj brain xd

@Chierushi2 жыл бұрын
But what happens when you clash? J types in relationships often have conflicts because each side is trying to reach their own goals. The S/N(iNtuition) difference is also hard to get around as you may trigger each other and lose productivity on what each person might see as small insignificant details or worse completely false statements (based on different modes of perception, ESTJ might read an insight gained from Ni as a lie, for instance). As an INFJ I often serve my ESFJ mom if I’m living close enough by, but I think her initiatives lack depth and they are inherently present-day sighted (not future-sighted). I’m thinking “let’s change the world,” she’s trying to be active with the latest trends in home design, and doing crafty or hosting types of ventures (like Airbnb). ESJs have Ni blindspot, which makes them not very in tune with the subconscious mind, which is why they may not be trusting of anyone who can “see past” the surface appearance of what’s happening, or the don’t have deep insights nor wish to: in my exp, ESFJ for instance they can be doing the same work they did 20 years ago even though times have changed, they don’t work to innovate or revolutionize anything, all change must be gradual, but the goal is still to make the best of present conditions, not so much bring about something new. For me, I have big dreams that involve the world or myself changing in big ways, many times I have to just set boundaries and say I don’t want to get roped into another Si goal, not if I’m going to make my mark in my Ni goal/vision (which are very personal and often not shared by others, and often at odds with the present day reality) No one, but especially not an Si type, is going to(automatically) champion an INTJs vision like an INTJ would. But hey If you can find an ESTJ who’s down to serve your vision and doesn’t think your visions lack precedent or are impossible or impractical, then it might work out.

Going to be honest here, I am intimidated by ESTJs. I think they would hate me. I am a very lenient, indecisive, sensitive, emotional, and soft person. I think anything is possible and I live in a world of dreams. I take forever to make up my mind and change it 10,000 times a day. I cry easily and sympathize easily as well. I take excuses and understand people. My kindness often gets taken advantage of. I don't like organizing people and micromanaging them. I think there is not one way to get things done, but infinite. Everyone has their own ideas and interpretations and they are never-ending. They can be productive in their own way and not have to do things through exact implementation based on somebody else's exact direction. A lot of people call me childish, immature, naïve, unrealistic, and a huge daydreamer, but that's just me. These people are scary, I know they're trying to be efficient and get things done but nonetheless, they scare me.

As an ESTJ, I can assure you there are 2 things that drive me up the wall. Excessive laziness and excessive crying. I can’t tolerate it. I have compassion. I understand when people are going through rough times. But if you’re going through rough times for 6 months… I cannot comprehend it. I can’t. I understand people work at their pace but if something is not going right I like to fix it or remove it from my life immediately. There was one colleague who cried all the time. At first I felt so sorry for her. Bought her lunch…helped her out… “my husband is controlling. I have no money. I don’t have food for my kids” Then it became a norm and it started bothering me. Why the hell was EVERYTHING in her life so dramatic. One day she deleted a folder by accident. I told her the network just needed to be restored she should wait for our network person. I kid you not. This girl would not stop crying. I got so angry and told her to get a hold of herself. It’s just a effing folder. So what if it got deleted even if it can’t be retrieved…suck it up and start all over again. She went to hr and complained about me. I bought her lunch…lent her money… helped her with her work for 6 months. And. She had the Audacity to complain about my anger?????? That day onwards I stopped helping her. I was done. 2 months later she was fired. She was milking the system and accounting got a whiff of it. She cried when she got caught….in front of everyone. I rolled my eyes and said it’s about time. Useless.

@@yes-ky9kh Was responding to OP, but WTH I'll bite. Just because Fi is down in the stack, doesn't mean it's not exerting influence. However, Fi is personal values not group, therefore not overly externally sensitive. My dad is not that concerned about about my (or other) feelings, but he sure is sensitive to his feelings/values when he feels disrespected, un appreciated, etc. Contrary, my daughter is INFP, and I had to learn to respect that dominant Fi. If I pushed on her values with my Ti, she could get defensive and emotional, because in a sense I am attacking her personally. She is also empathetic, but I think that is because having your values/feeling so present makes you sensitive to the values/feelings of others if you value your relationships. OTOH, for TE/Fi types, the Fi is subservient to Te so you get the classic "manager" personallity that is far more concerned with tasks then other people's feelings. IMO, if you placing other people's feelings over getting stuff done, you are not ISTJ/ESTJ.

In regards of estj They are sociable yet within the same time you kinda feel they are introvert They are a bit mysterious when it comes to emotions, barely you can find them associated with emotions They’d prefer keeping any thing correlated to their emotions locked to their core, Well it’s for the reasons of the way their mindset works in which they feel who’d listen to them, to begin with Thus, no need to invade others into something useless as my emotions, that could be just a whim They are also kind of people whom you feel you really want to know about Nevertheless it’s hard to approach them, but in reality it’s vice versa, cause they are simpler than how they look or perhaps not (not sure of that one ) For friendships, they are really one of the loyalist, though they can meet a lot whom always hypocritical with them, for which they hate associating with and they make it clear; they like honesty in other words They are responsible ( sometimes when they get their vc u gotta see they are super different, it’s just as if they turned into other person )(quite rare though) And very knowledgeable in what they are curious about If they are not curious, let it be whatever, no space available for u bro They are not soooo intelligent but neither fools They are at the mid But when it comes to business or work, well they rank Not cause of their brain, but more accurate it’s cause of their experiences for which they can correlate with They don’t really care about how others view them , they don’t give it a shit Aside from their loved ones I remember that girl, in my high school, she was so cool man, she was kinda overweight ( she was still new) So one of the guys picked on her and said u chubby fatty, u don’t deserve sitting with us She just told him, yeah I’m fat, ur stating facts my bro, plus ya ig i deserve a higher place than u He was bleached 😎 I thought by that time, she must be sad from the inside but showing she’s not ( who likes being called fat) But I assure u bro, for real she really didn’t care, her mindset was marvellous, she’s blunt , never ever have she cared about others pov I remember after we got closer as colleagues ( don’t romanticise us, man, otherwise she’ll kill me, she already brother zoned me 🤓) I asked her, do u feel bad when someone tells u ur fat, and bullying you She laughed and told me; bro, u still u don’t know me, me getting bullied, and called a girl who knows her from a long time and told her in sarcastic way, gurl it seems I’m getting bullied Drawing that confusion face over her friend :You ! GETTING BULLIED! No way, hahaha, you. Are to be the bullier, not the bullied one She then inverted her gaze over me and told me, got it, bro! Plus when someone states I’m fat, it doesn’t really affect me, cause I AM fat, and so what, y would that affect me, I’ve got lots of things in my life for which rather than regretting not having other things, u can just be grateful, I have got my iq, my morals, my personality, my parents, my beauty. So if the only loss, I gotta have is not having those standard body proportions, then let it be so. What’s more man, I’m a foodie, I can’t restrict my diet, just for the sake of being slim, nah bro, it doesn’t deserve that much, I live to eat not eat to live For real, I was amused by her mindset, I liked it, and I looked up for her, she was quite a model character to take upon ( a funny fact: the one who picked on her , pursed her later on, but obviously rejected, he got brother zoned too🫧, dunno why she never been in a relationship 🧐) Btw, they hate lies the most And it’s one of the mistakes , that you think an estj can’t understand emotions It’s just they don’t know how to react to Yeah, they are serious but funny too They just know the time They could be kinda an orthodox But not 100% Also, one of the things they hate the most Is that they can’t help the ones they love And when there is a misunderstanding bW the very loved ones I think that’s enough guys, but there is a lot more if you want to know about estj Estjs themselves, don’t know the much about themselves All of those were based on people I’ve met, and sure it differs from a person to another So maybe it’s not that accurate Btw, I ve studied psychology! Edit: I checked the grammar, guys, I guess I forgot to proof read it, Anyways It seems I forgot to talk about some of their flaws, that I ve been told Demanding, Inflexible (appears to be) Bossy Feelings things I already said earlier Harsh Independent So the girl I said earlier, she’s the one who told me about her flaws, and those they were The bossy point, honestly from my side, it’s a kind of okay with me, but there are individuals who detest being bossed around From my pov, she’s the healthy type not toxic And it was really disheartening hearing her saying that about herself without a blink of eye, Btw the emotion thing is smth I deduced, even though we know each other for so long yet she is not open to me. Yeah still brother zoned 🥸

(Edited) Just tell her that; maybe show a video or recommend a book that will help explain it. BUT you're going to have to compromise with her as far as socializing goes, first of all you're still under her roof and secondly she doesn't want you to end up being a complete hermit or agoraphobe. I would definitely tell her she's a nice person and that she means well but that you feel like she yells at you too much. And remember it "takes 2 to tango", which means both of you are the reason you're fighting but you can only change what you do and ask her to consider changing. Hope that helps.

I've got ESTJ multiple times doing the test, and it is honestly the type I feel more comfortable with, I don't relate to any other. But I feel like I'm certainly not the stone-cold stereotype who doesn't know how to express, feel or understand emotions. My emotional intelligence is great, but I still value facts and logic over emotional states, I don't think that comes to discussion. Things are what they are. But that doesn't mean I can't open up to people or understand their feelings! Damnit

I feel like I have a different personality than when I was a kid. And I'm still kind of shy which is mistaken for introversion but they're different.

10 years ago I was an ENTJ. 5 years ago until now, an ESTJ. It was an interesting transition, but I do like being an ESTJ. I find the differences quite interesting as well and I can relate more to other people who are ENTJ because I used to be more like them in the past. XD

I don't think it's possible to change your MBTI tho

@@EvilMeganium Yes it's not possible to change. Your Mbti is fixed. But as time goes on you will also find yourself associated with the other types

I have an eye for details but I don’t necessarily enjoy dealing with minute details. I see myself more as a big picture thinker who wants to delegate the minutia to someone else.

I have ADHD and struggled alot with who I'm. I am the harshest on myself and love order but also failing at it made me feel super stressed also I have poor health so my productivity is low. I guide others and see potential in most of them but I feel uncomfortable around people that usually go around in circles I feel suffocated... now after getting better in life and not trying to be in control and my health is better I understand that I was an extremely burned out ESTJ A

Im ESTP, if it wasn’t my ESTJ dad, I would’ve never had ESTJ in my life! As an ESTP, no one will ever tell me or expect me to do something according to their plan, IDC if their plan is right and makes sense ! Just ESTJs never expect ESTPs to follow what u say!

Estj / infp marriage here. Rollercoaster between two worlds. Wild but successful. Those two can make one hell of a team.
