where do you set the thickness of the material you are using?

In version 11.09, I'm not getting a toolpath on the opposite side of a carved area when there is an embedded area. I am, however, getting the correct fill limited by the embedded area when I increase the Maximum Carve Width to close the widest gap. Also, when I apply the pocketing tool, I don't see what happens. Am I missing some setting? Also, it would be nice to show in the video, how the pocketing tool works in a carved area. Are two .gcode files generated?

Hi christian, and thanks for your nice work. I have ESTL 11 (well I'll buy it soon, promise), and it doesn't seem to pocket large area when I use carve functions. Has the feature been removed ? thanks in advance

ok figured it out! the area must be entirely covered by the circles. If it doesn't happen, you have to tweak the "max area width" cursor until it does. If your tool is too small, it will pocket. Then you can use the "max depth" to limit ... depth if you use a thin material or don't want to have the bit fully engaged. Is that right ?

well I guess it is. Preview look OK now. Never mind me doing questions and answers, I am self sustaining man ;-)

would really love to know how to set the depth of the carve before saving cnc program. be default it seems to want to carve a depth of 6.35 (which is half of my vbit diameter). When I set the depth to 4mm, the pattern changes to small passes, left to right, rather than in the direction it would normally travel if the depth wasn't set; why is this?

Also, I'm a licensed user, and the site speaks to ESTLCAM8, and I have ESTLCAM11, the toolpath depth isn't available (as shown in this video)
