*How to prevent your favourite National Socialist songs from getting banned?* Simple- change the lyrics or use it as an official marching song of your military. Just like we still use the marching song of the Free India Legion as a quick march of our armed forced.

Luckily, since the songs (Latvian and Estonian) are still used and sung by their respective armies, YT doesn't seem to care. And in the case of Estonia, the lyrics were officially changed to make it less Legion-y. 😁 I'd be more worried about uploading WW2 versions, but those seem fine as well as there's still a ton

"wait, isnt that the SS march song?!" Not really 😀 the song was used before (Freikorps marschiert in feindesland; 1919) and even after WWII (Grüne Teufel; used until today). The song has same melody but different lyrics each time. Is it german in origin? Yes Is it n*zi? No

You are wrong sir. Friekorps marchschiert was not a real song. They did not actually sing it and that version was only popularized on KZbin. The real OG song was the condor legion march, used by the German Luftwaffe in 1936 during the Spanish civil war. That’s when the melody was invented
@eae2047
@eae2047 6 ай бұрын
its not originally from "Freikorps marschiert in feindesland" but rather "Lied der Legion Condor", as the former was made by somebody post freikorps era in the modern day.

Wait a minute, why are they flying a skull flag, also this tune seems familiar…
@deutscheskaiserreich6949
@deutscheskaiserreich6949 7 ай бұрын
hahaha this indeed quite the coincidence that might give off the wrong impression. The skull flag is that of the Kuperjanov partisans (famous for their exploits in the Estonian war of independence during 1918-1920). Those flying the flag are a part of the modern day Kuperjanov infantry batallion (which takes its emblems and traditions from the original partisans) which luckily has nothing to do with some other military units that loved using skulls on their flags. I really recommend reading about Kuperjanov and his partisans as they played a vital role in the war for independence.

Alongside with the French and German version this is the best rendition of the teufelslied. Too bad Italian version is the worst (Guerriero Parà) as I'm from Italy. P.S. I don't support Russia nor Ukraine cause I think this war is useless, but I like the fact that since Pootin invaded Ukr I can sing the Teufelslied to all of my leftist friends and they have to keep silent 🤣
