Bang on with the German comparison, has the clean refreshing taste that San Miguel doesn’t have. For a cheap beer, cold on a hot day, awesome👍🏻

Yeah this is a good one. Always a go to beer if it's a toss up between this and the average supermarket beers

I just had some of this on tap in Lisbon at a tapas bar. It was superb. The orange /citrus was quite forward.

I often spend a few weeks on Gran Canaria. I should be there next week, but that won't happen for quite a while. 😬 Estrella Damm is one of the best Spanish lagers over there. 😁

Actual Estrella Damm in Spain is 5.4%... for some reason all the Spanish/Portuguese beers sold here (Super Bock, San Miguel, Estrella Damm) are sold here weaker... no idea why that is but to me it makes it a completely different beer. Estrella on tap in Spain is absolutely superb, but here out of bottles it just isn't the same for me.

I quite like the Estrella from the bottle over here, certainly better than the Estrella Gallicia which is rancid stuff. I'll definitely be trying this next time I'm over in Spain on tap.

In my experience a "metallic" smell comes from them using hop extract, and not actual hops.

this has turned down the malt & turned up the glucose syrup recently. it's not actively bad yet but it's nowhere near a premium product even tho it has a premium price tag. this is coming across the board btw, get used to it.

I've heard it's actually a cheap bear in Europe, just marked up in Britain.
