ESU Tutorial Series - V5 Sound File and LokProgrammer Software - How I Set It Up

In this video I go through the ESU LokProgrammer Software with a V5 sound file and show how I set up the various parameters for my locomotives. I also help to explain what some of the items do and what to use in the LokProgrammer software to accomplish different tasks.

Wow! I have searched ESU Website and Manuals, Forums, Groups, and KZbin for a simple tutorial. It was not simple, but after an afternoon of watching and taking a lot of notes from your video, I have a lot more confidence and knowledge to take on my LokProgrammer. To activate the headlight on other decoders you have to set a CV on Tsunami for example CV 49 to 1 and then other CV especially if you install leds. Do you have to set up a certain CV on the ESU decoders. Sorry if it's a dumb question. Just new to using the ESU decoders love the fact you can download sound files for a particular locomotive. May have missed you mentioning adjusting particular CV's manually during the video got called away a few times. Great video and very informative you've done a great job.

Locomotives do have directional ditch lights the locomotives I run if your ditch lights are on and put the reverser in reverse the rear ones will come on and the front go off and the ditch lights in automatic mode will remain off till you hit the horn or bell and remain on till they time out.

How to get louder sound?

I'm surprised that you need louder sound. CV63 is the master volume and can be set to a max of 192. Other individual sound volumes can also be set. Which locomotive are you working with? Which sound file are you working with? Which speaker are you working with. There are many factors that go into sound volume. Overall though I find that most sound files are quite loud so more information would be helpful.
