エスカトス ~ Eschatos - Original Hardest - ALL Clear 29,964,300

Hardest is obviously the hardest mode in the game and it's pretty silly.
Everything shoots tons more bullets in this mode and they also often have an extra new gimmick added to their attack patterns. The stage 1 and 4 bosses have some "interesting" additions to their patterns.
Besides that all the bullets are also replaced with bullets that are much harder to cancel with the shield.
This is pretty much a survival clear. It's fairly sloppy but this is the best known score so who cares I guess. Besides me only one other person ever beat this mode.
Scoring difference in Hardest is that the multiplier isn't limited to x20 but it's pretty hard to utilize this.

have you thought about giving the time-trial mode a shot? Finishing under 20 minutes RTA is totally possible for you.

Where would you rank this compared to other extremely difficult shmup stuff like, say, the second-loop content of other games? Cuz this looks pretty insane, and even more so when you remember that you get bombs when the game says so.

+Kappatalist Honestly it didn't feel that bad. Most of the Hard mode strategies apply here too and the ones that don't just require a tiny bit of adjusting. The stage 1 and 4 bosses are pretty silly but they shouldn't kill you if you're being careful. There is also the whole 9 extra lives thing so there is a lot of room for error. Scoring is a different thing entirely but this isn't really a scoring mode to begin with so.

You unlock it after reaching a certain Option level. I don't remember which off the top of my head, but it's at or before 20 (for Original Hardest anyway).
