Was not trying to prove E wrong but was merely correcting some misinformation that E put out in his video. Fully disagree regarding the Nakoa incident. Owner was both on and in command of the yacht when it ran aground after he blatantly disregarded the 2hr mooring limit. What he did next, at least in the very beginning, from everything I’ve heard from people I know that live there, and what’s been widely reported- was essentially throw up double middle fingers and say “idk what happened, but you deal with it. And go ahead and miss me with that bill when you’re done, too. Ain’t paying.” He backtracked and softened his position after a few days of being brutalized by the press, government officials, and locals- but the damage was done. You don’t take a massive dump on what most in the area consider “sacred land” and walk away, or pretend it isn’t your dump anymore.

@@artieborko4988 in both instances the vessels were in the wrong. However, when a hull is breached, salvage involves patching holes where possible, pumping out water and then attaching buoyancy devices to keep the vessel afloat. Instead of salvaging the vessels, the government destroyed one boat and intentionally sank the other. The intentional or incompetent sinking occurred because no buoyancy devices were attached. The result was wrecking a boat and polluting the water permanently. A wreck in deeper water is unacceptable even when oil and fuel is removed.

@@seantwomey396 Fair enough- I don’t necessarily disagree with your points regarding the sinking of Nakoa, which imo, was clearly intentional. I am not a salvage expert, but the damage to the vessel certainly didn’t appear to be catastrophic enough to cause it to sink. And although the salvage company and various officials say otherwise, that definitely felt like them giving the middle finger BACK to the owner. Which again, should’ve been handled differently.

@@seantwomey396hat a BS, a wreck is unacceptable? There are many wrecks around the world that were even purposely sunk for divers, marine life tend to build around such wrecks, I even dove recently a series of such wrecks, in rather shallow waters in fact. You have no clue about wrecks.

@@olasek7972 I too have dived on wrecks. Those intentionally sunk remove and clean all hydrocarbons after an environmental impact study. This sinking did remove most oil but did not clean tanks weld doors and remove other contaminants. There was no environmental impact study despite the sinking being wholly foreseeable. This was not an accidental sinking. In many current accidental sinkings the owner must remove the wreck. What Hawaiian law permits an intentional sinking without any study or public input? The original owner broke the law when the boat went onto the rocks but the Bureaucrats in Hawaii also broke the law through intent or through negligence. Both are as bad.

Just for general information, I believe that Al Mirqab/Indian Empress/soon to be H, was one of 3 80m yachts built by Oceanco for Arab owners, I think one was called Titan and some of them were berthed in Palma de Mallorca. One decided he wanted his to be bigger than the others and had a section inserted. Looks like another section is being inserted. She could end up being all floppy in the middle - a scenario you do not want when inserting something in a yacht.

Therefore, if the first person viewing the comment on the vessel liked it, the comment would be ranked higher, more people could see it and add their own likes. Perhaps you don't, but I almost always check to see if some else has made the comment I was going to. So much easier to hit 👍than to write a comment. Bottom line is that I don't imagine it would be necessary to go through ALL the comments.

When a vessel undergoes a major rebuild which changes the 'deadweight" by more than (I think it was ) 1.5 percent then, under normal class and flag state rules it requires a new "Inclining Experiment" which is used to determine the vessels new centre of gravity after the addition of extra weight. This is then used to produce a new stability book. If the vessel does not meet the required criteria then blast may need to be installed such that the vessel complies. The information of listing from one side to the other suggests that the vessel was at an angle of " LOL" i.e it had listed over until the centre of buoyancy moved out to counteract the negative stability. If water is added to the opposite side it generally exaggerates the situation causing the vessel to come upright then flop over to the opposite side. Hence the probable change from port list to starboard list. This seems to indicate that the vessel operators lack of knowledge of stability. This is all surmise on my part but all the stories seem to indicate a lack of adequate stability in the new refurbished state with extra decks etc. Regards Stumpert

Those GFL trucks are everywhere in my area as I expect they are elsewhere in Canada. The green part has me baffled. They're garbage trucks for the most part. The odd bit of recycling but most of that is done by regional government and GFL is the contractor hired to haul it away. Just another trucking company with a flashy name and more branding than the rest. But hey, whatever floats your boat... Gotta beat taking a puck in the face.

Listen Bruh....All sailing boats /Yachts are assisted by engines either for docking purposes or bad weather when the sails have to be closed. Bezos yacht can run entirely on engines when the sails cant be used. I bet on engines she can go further than 3K NM. In all aspects sailing yacht A is larger and because she has sails...shes the largest sailing yacht/boat in the world. Jeff Just has the biggest traditional Classic styled sailing yacht.

Incorrect, pretty much everything you said. Koru can move on sail power alone, therefore she is a sailing yacht. SY A cannot move on just sails, therefore she is sail-assisted. If Koru uses engines to dock, that is not the same thing, they could if they wished dock without using the engines, they do so for convenience so it's irrelevant.

Bezos’s three-masted schooner is beautiful, but I think it will eventuallyhaunt him because it symbolizes the grotesque excesses of the super-rich at a time when so many are suffering. Including many of Bezos’s employees, of retirement age and forced to work 12-hour shifts and often sleep in their cars. How do YOU sleep, Jeff?
