I saw m/y Tatiana walk through video and she was easily nicer than most of the yachts on here and cheaper. 85 metres and built 2021 by Bilgin and designed by H2. She cost $100M and is an absolute stunner. I’m buying her when I save the other $99M in need.

Favorite of those shown would be _Octopus,_ however, of those that are for sale in 2022, I'd take _IJE_ or _Victorious._ Of course, if I were a billionaire, I'd probably have a custom built yacht with aspects from _Tis,_ _Octopus,_ _Nord,_ _Mizu,_ and _Tatiana._

If I'm honest....I'm not a fan of any of these yachts. I appreciate the technology in them and the skill it takes to crew them and the money it takes to keep them operational...but, for me, if money was no object, I'd go to a straight up expedition yacht for about 10 passengers with amazing range for Arctic and Antarctic travels. Having 30+ crew aboard feels like too much for this introvert to handle...assuming I *ever* had the money to do it. :) Thanks for a great year of videos. On a 300ft superyacht with 40 crew you will literally not see more than 4-5 crew if you desire. Because the crew can simply be relegated to the crew areas and not disturb you. So it is possible to be high introverted on a giant yacht but this is obviously not advised. Realistically a good owner should see most of the crew regularly at least if he is on board. But these yachts are designed to help make the crew invisible if they want to be. Hidden doorways, two or three passages to each deck, hot passes and dumb waiters, and so on.

The interior is mindblowing!

I see a lot of large yachts have Massage rooms and even esthetics rooms. I was wondering do these yachts have a dedicated masseuse/ esthetician on board? If so, what do they do when the owner isn't on board? Help out with other duties, or provide massage/esthetic services to the crew? Also are they payed differently from the rest of the crew? Luminosity was for sale asking 225 million euros, later the price dropped if I remember correctly. It's a sellers market, but still, can't imagine they found a buyer?

Great for a serious extrovert but given how much the want of privacy is usually a core aspect of mega yacht design, it seems the commissioner of this vessel didn't have it in mind.

Do you ever look at the tiny crew count on some of these huge ships and think, “Oh Hell No! They must have to work 24 hours a day.” Seems odd to have so few to service so much.

Eight crew can serve 12 guests quite easily on a 150' (~45 meter) yacht. Aside from peak times (chartering), they work 4 hours on, 8 hours off. The larger yachts will have more crew to compensate for the extra maintenance needed (be it deckhands, stews, engineers, chefs or extra officers). Some yachts even have rotational crews, so that each person works six months and gets paid leave for six months.

@@dannysdailys They depreciate like crazy. The cost for upgrading the AV/internet alone plus yard time is an issue. Generators, engines, outdoor flooring, constant maintenance. Some of these superyachts sell far below their asking prices when sold used. Even ones only a few years old will take massive financial hits just to get them sold. Every year something like MY Octopus sat on the market or Tatoosh costs a fortune. Better to discount that money and just sell them off.

Poor old James Packer. Various state governments in Australia have decided he isn't a "fit and proper person" to be holding a casino licence so he had to sell his stake in Crown resorts. I wonder what his father Kerry and his grandfather Sir Frank, would think of the money he has "sunk" into his M/Y IJE.
