Born in 82, I was too young for most of Goldman's tours. But I got the love of him from my sister, who's 9 year older than me. When I was in high school, I was already a big fan, but I missed when he did his tour for his album "En Passant". I learnt it the day after, from a friend who went to it. I've read a day or 2 later in the newspaper that he has announced an other date in my city, a few month later. I missed it too... cause I was too naive, and went buy my ticket a month before... it was obviously already sold out > < So when this tour was announced, I was watching for the day the selling of the tickets would open, and I went day 1 to buy mine. I came to the concert hall 8 hours early.. i wasn't even the first one (though amongst the first ones to be there). And I find myself on the first row, before the main scene. I didn't knew, back then, that he would retired after that tour.. But hell am I happy to have been to it.

What I loved here is that people couldn’t help being happy. I think this is what brings up so many emotions.

My favorite Jean Jacques Goldman song In the album version almost half of the song is instrumental and it's beautiful, the lyrics are GOLD but short on this one

The song is about the uncontrollable side of love. JJ G said in an interview:" I love the idea of something playing on us, on anyone. I have seen extraordinary couples fall apart over an improbable encounter. It's fascinating."

I'm picking late on all your reactions as I love so much the choices of your Patreons and your own reaction to it. You cannot believe how amazing was this concert and Tour. I rarely felt more alive, connected and happy in my life. And 23 years after, I feel the same emotion.

goldman have written and composed so much of the most famous song for a ton of artists that this wouldn't surprise me if half of the most famous french songs in the 80's and 90's where composed by him

In fact, this song is about love! He says that love is sometimes stronger than our own will. He's the one who decides and there's nothing we can do about it. It leaves us empty and more dead than alive Love is the one who decides, we're just pretending Love chooses his turns and his comings and goings And there is nothing we can do about it

If you remember the song "Comme toi" (the little girl named Sarah), Jean-Jacques plays a little tune on the violin in the middle. He also plays piano in some songs.

Hi "D" ! Thanks for your videos and your always relevant comments ! But you must listen to ROUGE, one of his most personal and astonishing songs about his communist father, (And his half-brother Pierre Goldman, Trotskyste activist and bank robber assassinated in 1973...) and about this utopia of a world united in an Universal happiness, unfortunately brought down over time by dictatorships and the murderous madness of the latter. The video, the lyrics and the music, with the Red Army Choirs on a background of historical images, are absolutely fantastic...

You missed the message of the song! It all comes together with the last line _"Ainsi fait l'amour et l'on n'y peut rien"_ The song is about love, how it happens unexpectedly and how you can't do anything about it.
