Imagining the Dinosaur frantically scribbling notes with his tiny arms while the other "big brain" blue decks ask for a recollection of history written by said dino. 😭 Magic is indeed the greatest game to ever have been created. 💕

My former high power zacama deck salutes you. Thanks for making dinosaurs great again! This deck has been so fun to play. But is actually super strong. The more kinnan and blue farm opponents the better your deck gets!!!

etali is just pure gas. it also give you a buff when you play it called Archenemy

Every single atraxa vs etali game I've played as an atraxa player has been a fucking blast. I've stolen etalis etbs and they've stolen atraxas. Game becomes a kaiju showdown.

Your coverage of the deck inspired me to run it for SCGCON Valley Forge. Looks and plays like so much fun. Also learned Delayed Blast Fireball is some reason hard to find in any of my LGS's lol

This is awesome, grats on 2nd place! I know you've mentioned that you find Rog-Si to be toxic because they always feed the Rhystic Studies, so it's hilarious that you've decided to play a deck that does the exact same thing!

I built etali turbo dino bungalunga when it came out, I waited a long time for a cedh dino viable and I'm really happy people is playing her more and more everyday

I love playing etali so much! The first time I played it, my friend was playing his Ziatora deck and I flipped into HIS food chain (I didn't have a copy in etali yet) and proceeded to win! I'm still confused as to why everyone seems to run Minsc and boo though...

Minsc and boo is a draw engine. It can also pressure life totals. First activation make a 4/4 hamster that can attack or block. Next turn throw the hamster to blow something up or life totals. Or make it into - 7/7 hamster. The bigger the hamster the bigger the damage or the more cards you can draw

I'm pretty new to cEDH, but I was wondering - what are the upsides of running Etali versus a commander like Maelstrom Wanderer? Are the opponent's spells more valuable on average than another spell from your own deck? Plus access to blue as a very powerful colour in cEDH, and the ability to give haste to all of your creatures, what is the edge of Etali?

So as much as I love Wanderer, etali has the benefit of being an ETB trigger compared to cast trigger. (So yes he can be countered then you get nothing) but once he resolves if you have ways to copy him (twin flame, cursed mirror, other peoples clones) it because a lot easier to keep going. Plus etali gives you 4 cards to pick from vs 2 in your deck. I do think wanderer could have potential but it would require a unique build.

Also. In this case the opponents cards ARE better than yours because you just fill your deck with mana and clones. Not so many "good cards", while opponents have tutors and value engines etc

Have you given Aetherflux a try yet? Also Kodama of the East Tree? One of the first games I’ve played with Kodama, I had it out from an Etali flip but couldn’t get out the Food Chain that was in my hand because I knew one of my opponents had a counter spell in hand. I ended up just casting Simian spirit guide from my hand and used Kodama’s trigger to put it out.

Hitting eldritch evolution with Etali. Sac Etali. Get courser onto the battlefield. Put Etali on battlefield. Flip more cards.

Did they change the way sticker goblin works? You have a max of 9 name stickers right? So no way to make infinite mana...

Played in this event ended up 19th out of 58, hell of a day Steve runs a great ship and Kings Court has been the best LGS I’ve been to in all of New England. Also ban Dakmor Salvage ban Gitrog ban Fspens

Love the concept of top 10 with final seats on the table. Prevents the top seats from drawing constantly and allows for other people to take a spot last minute.
