Etemon it's probably one of the most over the top villains in Digimon I think one of the reasons why I like him so much it's because he's basically an Elvis impersonator like one of my favorite cartoons growing up Johnny bravo a guy who's trying to make his way with every girl but always comes short even though he may mess up sometimes he's more of a lovable idiot than an evil mastermind very different but still one of my favorites man this takes me back to my childhood.

I remember seeing Etemon since Digimon Adventure 1 & I also remember the day he digivolved to MetalEtemon to his get revenge on the Digidestined until Zodomon creaked his metal body with his Vulcan’s Hammer Attack & was defeated by SaberLeomon & I’m sad he sacrificed himself to save Mimi while blocking MetalEtemon’s Attack

I would think Etemon's champion would be targetmon. Not only does it look like a natural progression but the end of the summary of the digimon says "...Also, no matter how depressed it is when it loses, it is a tough Digimon that will revive itself over and over with the serenade in its heart."

It would be refreshing if he leaned alittle more inro rhe actual Monkey king aesthetic with a mystic pole that doubles as a mic and the golden ring made by a certain someone to be like a good version of the dark rings.the difference being they only work on digimon who WANT to change and aren't so much mind control devices more like a conscience buffer this would alsp fit well into the original myth if he had a kappa hype man and pig roadie, it would be a sort of "if you know you know" way to show he's not totally good yet...but he's working on it.

My biggest question is where was Myotismon when they had to deal with etemon? Also, Apocalypemon claims he was behind everything does that include etemon too? I always got the impression that etemon was a filler arc. Pretty sure all the crests were found while they were running from him but activated afterwards.

the only info about Etemon and vamdemon relationship is from demidevimon two lines in the anime. Demi Devimon "befriends" TK and says thanks for getting rid off Etemon for us. and when he sees the two Gazimon and Recognize them as Etemon followers. Yeah the info from Adventure novel Apocalypemon created all main villains as his agents to take over the digital world.

Well Etemon claimed to be the king of all Digimon during the time when Myotismon was preparing to invade the real world. Aiming at different goals they woulnd´t interfere with each other to much i think. During the Time Etemon fought the chosen Myotismon was probably busy recruiting enough digimon minions for the real world. I bet he was glad Etemon was gone since potential minions could be hired by Myotismon instead of Etemon .
